H60 Noise at 12V

Hello guys,

I have a question, i recently bought a Corsair H60 for in my node 304.

I have the h60 currently on the fan controller of the node 304 because the pump made to much noise at 12 Volt ( I had the H60 connected on my motherboard an on full speed and even on molex 12 Volt). The h60 is currently running at 5 Volt ( The lowest stand on the Fan controller is 5 Volt if i am correct.) And it is dead silence. I know it should run at 12 Volt but the weirdest part is that it has the same temperatures at 5 Volt( 37 degrees to 42) as at 12 Volt when Idling/ browsing the web and watching video's. But when I start games I need to get the fan controller on 12 Volt otherwise it will run too hot.

So my question is, is my H60 broken since makes a lot of noise at 12 volt (sounds like the pump is making a lot of RPM), and no temperature difference between 5 Volt and 12 Volt?
