Its the same way here, you pay a fairly large premium to buy brand new, but I dont have any kids yet, and I like the idea of not having any questions about the cars history.

It is more expensive though. On a Focus its probably a $3-5k premium from a one year old Focus with 15k on it.

That said, cars in the US are so cheap compared to here :/

Your V8 mustangs are the price of a 1.4 Focus lol

Good god. Forget that nonsense.

Although that's why Euro cars aren't as popular in the US as american cars, the Euro cars are more expensive. There isnt quite as big of a gap as from the US to Europe but its still a couple $K easily.

That said everything here is more expensive really,

yeah like a E class starts in the US from $50k, where as in the UK its £35000, which is  $60k!

and we cannot get cool cars like mustangs and corvettes, since they are US imports, even if I buy a £10000 mustang, my insurance goes from £700 a year, to £3000 a year

I so want one :( We dont really get muscle cars over here, and they are super rare, so It would be nice to be different to everyone

And really turn some heads, and have something unique and fun to drive, but i might wait a few years or until I earn more money

I suppose now is a bad time to tell you that the first car I bought was a V8 Mustang track pack... :D

I still have it, but I dont drive it as often as I would like to. I would post a photo but photobucket is blocked at work :(

New exhaust for my little CG arrived today, the old one is covered in rust and I've had to patch a few holes.

New one is just an aftermarket one, same style just shinier and no holes haha

Just waiting for a new gasket to arrive and I'll put it on

Don't have a bike (yet). Sports/Naked are my type.

I'm really lusting after the Duke 390 for my first bike. Its just so beautiful and they say its really a blast to ride.

Yeah that's all I wanna do really is get my

CBT and a 125 to get to college and back. But my dad thinks they are death traps so he's not having any of it. If you know any arguments to back me up that would be greatly appreachiated haha

As for your cars, if I were you I'd go for an RS4. Or if you have the money a new F-type or c63 (but that's just my childish love for loud engines coming though)

Haha, yeah when I was 17 my dad had none of it either. Once I was an adult I could go out and buy whichever bike I wanted though. I didn't start on a 125CC, I started on a 650CC. Crazy huh.

I had a computer.. and then I let FedEx ship it.

Woah never seen this thread this active before.

With that said, I'm considering undergoing a conversion on my FZ6R to turn it into a XJ6N. It would shed a few pounds and I'd have a unique looking bike since that variant is not sold here in America. All I need to do is buy the plastics, some screws, and a speedometer mounting plate which will set me back around $500 I believe. It should make for a good winter project if I have the funds available. My friends are going to think I have an entirely different bike after I finish :D

This is how I forsee it turning out except lowered with clip ons:

I don't ever see myself getting rid of this bike. It's the first bike I've ever rode, wrenched on, and it's plenty for the street. I'm so happy I didn't get a Ninja 650. Not knocking the bike but it's just not my preference.

I agree thats how I feel about my sv 650, I was gonna get an XJ6n but I found a used almost brand new looking SV650 for £1900 with only 5k on the clock and I feel in love

But Im not sure I would ever need anything more powerful, it still scares the shit out of me when I open the taps

That bike is absolutely stunning I want one

I'm not sure how I feel about it. It looks like it's a motorcycle version of Starscream if he wasn't a fighter jet.

So I've decided I'm going to do a few mods over the winter

  • Spiegler braided steel lines front and rear
  • 2wheels levers
  • Graves block off plates
  • Power Commander or Juice Box

I always say that's it for modding but I have a feeling I'll do more lol.

sold my Yamaha TTR250 at the start of the year, needed the money to move to a city for university. looking at saving again probable for a Yamaha R6, maybe a R1. Dream would be a BMW S1000RR/ HP4 or a ducati Panigale. I miss riding my bike so much, but when I do go back home I get t ride a BMW 1200GS (my dad's, just got to pay execs if in accented and fuel). hard saving ahead of me...

the feeling of riding a bike is something that can not be explained but only felt when riding and nothing else compares.

The H2R looks beautiful, no doubt, but there's no way this will be driveable for an average rider. There was a time, I guess somewhere in the 80's when motorbike manufactures started building supercharged bikes and so many riders killed themselves with those machines, e.g. imagine the following situation: you're driving a corner and at the end of it you start opening the throttle again, the turbo joins and your rear tire starts losing contact to the road, because of the amount of power the turbo suddenly adds.

For me the Kawasaki H2R is just a stupid way to say "Look @ us, now we got the most horsepower at one of our bikes", I would go for a BMW S 1000 RR HP4 any time, instead of that.
