Great minds think alike!

Yeah Speed Triple R is what I have my eye on, though I need a new car first, I am bored of my audi

I have a little time left in my current focus, but in a year or two I will have to replace that. I would really like to get into an ST Focus or a WRX, but I may end up being cheap and getting a Fiesta ST. I dunno on that one yet.

@Real_PhillBert all I can say about this thread recently is ITS ALIVE!

Clearly, and I thought this one was dying out. lol

I guess there is not much to always talk about haha, Well my car was on a 5 year finance and it ends next year

Been looking at Subaru WRX, Integra DC5, BMW M3 etc, that kind of thing, but it depends how much I get for my car now, and how much I can afford at the time

As for my bike I really want to get more use out of my SV before I sell it, it was only £1900, figured i might do some track days, and do some advanced riding courses, so get me more confident and skilled

Agreed, I had 0 bike experience when I did my CBT on a 125, I passed first attempt and rode for 2 years on my 125 (Yamaha YBR125), I then did my full test on a Yamaha XJ6 Naked (which I think is a gorgeous super easy to ride bike, it was in white too, brand new to me, the instructor just bought it, he rode a white Street triple)

I'm not in America, I'm in the UK and also I wouldn't just pass the course then go onto the roads, obviously I would practise myself first to get used to it

Yeah that's all I wanna do really is get my

CBT and a 125 to get to college and back. But my dad thinks they are death traps so he's not having any of it. If you know any arguments to back me up that would be greatly appreachiated haha

As for your cars, if I were you I'd go for an RS4. Or if you have the money a new F-type or c63 (but that's just my childish love for loud engines coming though)

No point getting an RS4, as it would just feel exactly like my Audi, I want something new (I cannot afford a new car, it will have to be 3/4 years old) I have maybe £7k - £15k to spend

I might get  C32, as they are insanely fast, my brother works for Jaguar/Land Rover as a design engineer so might be able to get some discount :P

Sure

in 2012 331 Motorcyclists died vs 1900 in cars,

but in 2012 8,367 died from alcohol... so motorbikes and cars combined are safer than drinking

Now it's gaining dust in my garage since I have a car, so I'd like to sell it but I've never put it on sale, because I love it :'(

I don't have pictures of the pocket bikes, they are a chinese pocket bike and 4 chinese midicross dirt bikes, and also I have a chinese minicross, so they're 6 actually...

My focus is paid off, so no worries there, but its only 140k miles on it. I figure I will hold on to it until ~160-165k or so and then buy something new.

We dont get the Integra over here and I know an M3 would not be the most practical thing in the winter around here.

I have done a few track day's on my SV, be careful that is really addicting. It can get out of hand pretty quick. Trust me lol.

yeah the integras are all jap imports here too, but its quite low insurance and pretty quick :) might be fun!

Ah 140k is pretty high, I try and buy my cars with about 50k on the clock and sell them at 80/90k , that said milages are probably all high in the USA because you all have to drive so damn far

Ah im a bit of a pussy on my bike, it would deffo not get out of hand, just thought its a nice way to learn the bike without doing it on the roads and getting hit by lorries

There are all sorts of things

n 2004, 585 killed (so its like half that number now in 2014 showing improved safety on the roads, and better rider gear)
Rider deaths were down 33% in 2011 compared to the average number killed per year from 2005-2009.
The motorcycle fatality rate, taking into account miles travelled by bike, was down by 11% between 2010 and 2011.
The figures also show that 48% of crashes between motorcycles and cars were the result of the car driver failing to look properly.

@acolombo don't sell the DRD you'll regret it

I don't use it almost anymore, it has to go! I want to buy a Miata or a Nissan S13 :D

Then when I will put aside some money I will also think about getting another bike, bigger than this one... But I think not in the recent future...

Oh and I did hear pocket bike racing was huge in Italy is that why you've got that many?

Yeah pocket bikes are a big thing here, especially here in Romagna I have 4 circuits around where people like Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso, Marco Simoncelli and most italian MotoGP riders grew up.

Anyway I bought them used to restore and sell them, that's why have so many of them.

I will most likely keep only one dirt bike and one pocket bike. I'm more focused in karting, I have three of them. I started when I was 10 so I have the little one, a 60cc, a 100cc which is the one I love, and 125cc that my old man bought so we could go together... But after that we had some financial problems, so we don't have a vehicle to bring them to the track, and it's 3 years I can't go. I bought a pocket bike just because I can load it in the back of my car and go the track and have a bit of fun, and I bought chinese ones because they're very cheap and easy repairable.

140K around here is a bit above average, but I drive about 100 miles a day to and from work, so if I only held onto my cars for 40k I would need a new car almost every year lol.

Though I think my next car will be brand new. I really want that new car smell :)

Wow 100 miles, fuck that, would cost SO much in petrol here in the UK, we pay at least triple your fuel costs!

I really take no value in new cars (I work in the trade) you are better off with a model 1/2 years old, with super low mileage, its basically new, and the worst bit of depreciation will be done

Its the same way here, you pay a fairly large premium to buy brand new, but I dont have any kids yet, and I like the idea of not having any questions about the cars history.

It is more expensive though. On a Focus its probably a $3-5k premium from a one year old Focus with 15k on it.
