I know the thread is few months old but Uoltt could spare a handfull of skilled figher pilots to aid pitchfork. I have no fighter ship but will aid them somehow with my DUR. Maybe i even get a hornet before that although not to keen of spending that kind off money on another ship anymore. Worst case scenario, maybe I manage to borrow a hornet off somebody who doesnt need it for the mission. Im willing to put my time and skills to help and push those ugly bastards vanduuls bit further away from earth's space.

I won't be helping operation pitchfork, I've got a thing against genocide virtual or not.

However I've got no issue with people helping as medical aid or salvage.

@rentaspoon I totally get it. I Will be fighting military units and ignore civilians. Medical support would be great. If I won't get a fighter ship then i do recon or something. Vanduuls are way to close to Sol system and they killed and feasted on people on Orion and for that i will have no remorse killing them, i guess i have developed a little hate towards them already lol.

I'll be joining in but fully expect to be claiming insurance on my ship shortly after Aside from the overwhelming odds against us with a 9:1 NPC:player ratio, so >9/10 Citizens probably wont be joining in, CIG have the "dungeon master" control so people cant break the game and there's no way CIG will let us conquer the Vanduul space just before public release but we may see something interesting along the way or get a story arc that results in increased Vanduul raids or a push on Terra etc.

I'm joining in just for the lols and to be able to say 10 years down the track , I've got a soft spot for massive player driven content but wont be throwing more than one ship at it, its my pre-determined tap out quota when going to the casino Now I just have to decide which one's going to the scrap yard...

I have a feeling on a majority of lore the the Vanduul weren't responsible for a majority of attack but government cover ups are responsible.

9:4 is bad enough along with alphas and elites AND the AI won't be scaled back.

In order to keep a piece as a souvenir, you would have to survive first.

I can imagine having the Vanduul blade wing as a bar in someones hangar. Be careful, though, you might slice open your stomach when you're not careful!

Are Vanduul reptiles? Don't know if they lay eggs. If you know a little bit about the lore, not much is known about the Vanduul...

I think they are ment to be related to the kilrathi from wing commander and they look like bald cats too

There have been arguments that they are just defending and rightfully taking back their lands around the Tiber (is that correct?) system from (in their eyes) aggressive and violent humans who where brought there through their unquenchable thirst for expansion and colonisation.

That's why I don't support Operation Pitchfork, but I won't stop it from happening though.

yeah that's all the info I know, plus I have a conspiracy theory that they are the violent creatures that the UEE makes them out to be.
