cant believe that amd has cut the price for the r9 290 and 290x i wonder if more people would go amd now.I might


"AMD has cut prices of its Radeon R9 290 and R9 290X GPUs. The Radeon R9 290 has dropped from its previous $399 price to $299, that's $100 off. Meanwhile the R9 290X dropped from $549 to $399, a drop of $150. The new prices represent a price drop of about a quarter for both of these graphics cards."

Guess they just can't take that Nvidia is beating the shit out of them right now.

I hope the new amd cards will beat the 980 then gm200 :D

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

Edit: oh come on, the 290 is the same price or cheaper than the dcu2 gtx 760 in aus. This is ridiculous

This means that you can 4 way crossfire  R9-290s for the price of SLI GTX 980s. Nvidia really are milking people for money.

Great. Now the retailers in my country can make more profit - cause they never adapt the freaking prices FUCK! GTX 780 is still almost as expensive as GTX 980 here. :/
