Do you get the coffee "buzz"?

Hey guys,

As the title says, do you get a "buzz" from drinking coffee? Like an energy buzz (duh).

I found that I never did, although, I have no idea what the "buzz" should feel like. I just feel ever so slightly more energised but equally unmotivated to do work

I don't get an energy buzz from anything, I have a steady amount of energy throughout the day regardless of what I drink.

As the title says, do you get a "buzz" from drinking coffee? Like an energy buzz (duh).

I found that I never did, although, I have no idea what the "buzz" should feel like. I just feel ever so slightly more energised but equally unmotivated to do work

the only times i have drank coffee was when it was mainly whiskey so i cant comment lol

I don't drink coffee don't like it and I don't feel to be more active whit so I try to stay away from it, imo I thinks it's overrated

Nope... I do get dizzy after 3 cups or two cans of Nescafe Espresso Roast or two bottles of Cobra Smart Energy Drink...

 

Weird thing is that time flows differently if I'm in that state...

How can someone hate coffee unless its the cheap robusta coffee? Its aroma is so pleasantly good and the taste will warm you with its deliciousness.

Because the shit out of Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts is burnt garbage.

It's interesting that people don't like coffee, I though everyone likes it by default

Tea is also nice. I like both, more for their taste than the supposed energy boost.

yupp, it just makes me want to sleep more but I wish I had that sooo called "buzzed" but can if I add a little whiskey lol

The couple times I had coffee was when I had to turn in something important the next day at school, but it never help me to stay awake, so no, it doesn't have the advertised effect on me.

Same for me I had a 4000 word essay to hand in once and I still had to edit it the night before handing it in...

Drank a cup (or three) of coffee expecting it to miraculously boost my energy levels... It didn't. All it did was keep me in a drowsy, zombie-like state for a few more hours. Certainly not a "buzz".

Overall, I'm quite disappointed in coffee, but I suppose caffeine affects people differently.

If I drink it my heart stops beating, so not a great buzz. 

 

That said I appreciate a good one - when I was back in luxury hospitality, coffee was a huge part of my mixology course and my barista training was intense. I haven't had one to drink in well over a year, but I still make a couple every now and then to keep my skills sharp.

Coffee doesn't actualy work how most people think it does, it doesn't wake you up per say, it instead prevents a gland in your brain telling you 'I'm tired, we should get to sleep as soon as there is x amount of me in here'. Because of this, it would have little buzz/affect outside of a placebo like action.

90% of my liquid intake is soda..... seriously. I hate water.

 

I used to get a buzz after school (high school) when I'd come out and light up the first cig in like.....7 or 8 hours, would make me feel high for like, a minute. I remember the principle yelling at me one time when I was smoking in the parking lot after school, told him "you can't do a thing, I'm 18 and this is public property, go bother someone else" He just looked mad and walked away lol.

Best tea one thing I'll miss in Korea, friend of mine has told me they have great coffees though.
