cheaping out?

first off don't overpay for an extra clocked 8350, just go i5 if you have the money.  also don't get a 4690k if youre not going to overclock ever.

 

 

I would never cheap out on a motherboard.  its extremely important.

Wouldn't wanna cheap out on a board with the FX 9370, they're power hungry.

 

I'd say get an i5 4690k, you can get away with a decent mATX board with one of those. It'll give you even better gaming performance at stock than that FX chip in most games.

im planning to run an fx 9370 (or a 4690k if i change my mind) and if im not going to overclock anything, will ibe able to get away with cheaping out on my motherboard? how much will it affect my fps? im talking about going with a really cheap motherboard here, not just cheap.

That CPU has a 220W TDP. If you cheap out on a motherboard using that CPU it will fry a hole through the board.

Better go with the i5.

With a TDP of 220W you can't cheap out on a board. Around $150 minimum.

 

 

Get a 4690K and a decent Z97 G55 or something.

If you have to cheap out on a motherboard that also probably means you can't afford a $100 CPU cooler. DO NOT buy a 9370 without an extreme liquid cooler or heatsink like the NH-D15.

Just get an i5, it performs better. Also, get the 4690 (no k) if you're not going to overclock.

 

And if you cheap out on a motherboard, you will most likely have it fail in less than a year, or possibly ruin your components like CPU and GPU if you get a small surge. Cheaping out on a motherboard is NOT a good idea. It is one of the most important parts of a PC.

get a none k i5.i7 and a b/h series board if you want to cheap it out
