Well English people have been taught to say ZED but I personally prefer, and use ZEE as I just find it sounds better.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

I any other word I'd probably (99% of the time) call is Zed (being from Australia). But for this case, just coz I hear it being called Zee-87 from US youtubers, that pronunciation has kinda stuck.
