So Nvidia tweeted this right after Mod24 ended -  https://twitter.com/NVIDIAGeForce/status/513131666202984450

#GAME24 has come to its conclusion but we're only just getting started. We can’t wait to show you what comes next.

With AMD's event coming on the 25th it is very likely that their 390X will beat the GTX 980/ 780 Ti and Nvidia will have to counter with the 980 Ti. Question is will they do it so soon after releasing the 980 or will we have to wait till next year?

Why you tease me Nvidia. :(

On another note. MSI is reported to not be going all out on the 970/980 as they want to do that on this supposed 980Ti /990 whatever it is called. makes sense.
Although they made a lightning 680/770/780 so who knows.

EVGA is  readying their GTX 980 Classified ACX 2.0.

I doubt we will see a reduction in the price of the 980's unless the 390 is $400. But i do think Nvidia will hold back on releasing a 980ti until they know what cards AMD has to play.

@Jerakl

don't know if you have the picture or not

Yeah, I'm the one that made that up.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

They always have something better than AMD up their sleeve. Just like they did with the 'titan killer'.

AMD releases something new: Intel or Nvidia release something even better. That's how it always works...

Me and a friend constantly say Intel and Nvidia are just holding out just to increase profits. They both probably have super cool shit already that we won't see for 5 years or so. They don't need to release their secrets up their sleeves because they're not being pushed to.

AMD needs to step up.

It would kinda ruin the entire market if they just released all their technology at once, lol

I really don't think there will be a 'Ti' version of the 980. Anything above it is more likely to be a new 'titan' class of card I think. And I really don't think they will cut prices unless AMD releases something good.

“At bottom, you see, we are not Homo sapiens as all. Our core is madness. The prime directive is murder. What Darwin was too polite to say, my friends, is that we came to rule the earth not because we were the smartest, or even the meanest, but because we have always been the craziest, most murderous mother******* in the jungle." - Steven King, Cell
