I fucking hate those people. They fucking never claim it. Linus should do a giveaway for those who have more than 500 posts and have been on the forum for more than 6 months. If that were to happen, definitely sign the fuck up.

pretty much what i was going to say, people need to understand this is not a giveaway for the forums, it's a giveaway for the viewers of the linustechtips youtube channel, they just use this forum as a very handy dandy tool to perform that giveaway, because it's practical. As much as some regulars might dislike it ..

Its around midnight friday GMT(UK) time. Forum front page has event calendar with option to calculate it to your own time.

I still get frustrated with the sheer number of 1 posters on it. No idea if this is possible, but if there was a way in IPB to set a thread so only people that fulfil certain critera (number of posts, time on forum, likes etc.) can post in it, then we could all be happy and only regular community members would get to take part. this would of course encourage either massive amounts of spamming or actual useful content being produced.

^ You can set groups up so after reaching some post threshold (and after x amount of days) they are moved to another group. But threads themself(s), no. Also we can virtually modify the forum code anyway we want to do things the official IPB forums (and others) can't.
