What's in Your Build?

MeesterJackson

So I've made two posts before one being "What GPU are You Running?" and another being "What CPU are You Running?" Both were well-received and a lot of people had fun with them both.

So to cap it off, what's in your entire build? Are you running a custom built PC that you made, a pre-built from a certain company, or even a laptop? What are your specs?

Post 'em down below and let me and the world know! :D

An i5 4670k at 4.4GHz with an awesome cooler (Noctua NH-D 14) on an overpriced motherboard (sabertooth Z87, just for the fancontrol and the 5 year warranty). An R9 290 Tri-X from Sapphire (recently upgraded from a GTX 770) which is pretty awesome, a BeQuiet E9 PSU (680W, I wanted SLI 770s at first but they're not really ideal for 1440p gaming). 2x4GB of corsair vengeance LP ram at 1600MHz, fancy heatsinks on the ram would just get in the way of my CPU cooler and they're pretty useless anyway. A samsung 840 120GB SSD (boot drive, obviously) and a really old Seagate barracuda 1TB HDD for storage. And lastly, a cooler master HAF 932 advanced with custom fan filters everywhere. I don't really like the case and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but it was extremely cheap when I got it and it has enough room for whatever I want to throw in there.

I could go on for ages when it comes to peripherals, but that's my build. I built it myself, of course, because saving money is nice and I don't see the benefit of boutique PCs for me.

I have vacuum.. I set all my fans as exhaust.

Would recommend using positive pressure in your case. That is if your case doesn't have any extra ventilation areas. In my case however, I only have a single 80mm fan cooling the CPU and that's about it.

I though that my joke was obvious :(

I actualy use 2x intake 140mm fans front and 1x exhaust 140mm fan rear.

If you overclock that CPU it can catch up a bit to an i7 in gaming when it's at 4.7Ghz as Linus showed. :P

Waiting for GTX 900 series

Ah that makes sense. I'm kind of doing the same.

You'd be surprised by the number of individuals running all exhaust for fans. However, most of their cases can only access air through the designated fan spaces, so negative airflow usually helps with dust.
