Any tips for getting up early?

I have to be up early tomorrow, and I don't know about you - but I have a really hard time getting up in the morning through an alarm clock.

Any tips?

First thing is to get off the forums and go to bed. :P

If you're getting adequate amount of sleep, you shouldn't even need an alarm clock as your body will naturally wake up when it's sufficiently rested.

If it's something important, I would set one just in case however.

Multiple alarm clocks, and put them out of reach of your bed. That way you have to get up to turn the off.

I set an alarm 30 minutes earlier than I need to get up. Then I just sit there in bed while I slowly get the will to get out and carry on with my day.

One problem with this method though, You might fall back asleep so keep multiple alarms, Or hit snooze every 5 minutes for 30 minutes.

Setup: i5 4670k @ 4.2 Ghz, Corsair H100i Cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB Ram @ 1600 Mhz, MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard, Corsair GS700 2013 edition PSU, MSI GTX 770 Lightning, Samsung EVO 120 SSD + 2TB&1TB Seagate Barracudas, BenQ XL2411T Monitor, Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones + AntLion ModMic 4.0

Punch the floor hard. The pain will help you regain consciousness.

Jokes aside as soon as the alarm goes off jump right out of bed and put your head under the tap. It can work miracles.

take some antihistamines before bed (half dose if you don't use them frequently, and only if you can sleep for at least 7 hours, take dosage 1 1/2 hours prior to sleep, 1 hour prior if you rarely use them), the second you wake up, walk to your fridge and drink either cold fruit juice, gatorade, or ice water, then go take a shower.

set two alarms one for 25 minutes before you're supposed to get up, and one for when you're supposed to get up.

If you feel fine and awake 25 minutes before, don't go back to sleep. If you feel sleepy and not about to have that, go back for the rest of the 25.

works 9/10 times, reduced effectiveness during hangovers.

if you know you have to get up a time than your brain will try to sleep well it can.

I've had an alarm for years and now my body just wakes up every morning at around 5:50 no matter what I do.  Go to bed when you're tired so you dont oversleep or undersleep.  Some people can run on lower amounts of sleep and some people get tired very early.  Make things as natural as possible and your mornings will be much better.

Set an alarm and leave it across your bedroom. Crank it up to the loudest volume. Also leave your windows open, the light will help wake you up if there is a sun when you need to get up

Set an alarm and if it's actually anything important you'll wake up, where as if it's not, or if you're just a lazy bum, you'll go back to sleep and that will be the end of it.
