Car games look photorealistic because cars are easy to draw. For me best looking game has to be BF3/BF4, visual effects and stuff are just nuts.

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania, Europe, Earth, Solar System, Local Interstellar Cloud, Local Bubble, Gould Belt, Orion Arm, Milky Way, Milky Way subgroup, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniakea, Pisces–Cetus Supercluster Complex, Observable universe, Universe.

12700, B660M Mortar DDR4, 32GB 3200C16 Viper Steel, 2TB SN570, EVGA Supernova G6 850W, be quiet! 500FX, EVGA 3070Ti FTW3 Ultra.

Nothing tbh. Games look great but they don't look real. Maybe Project Cars is the closest as the OP said, but I haven't played it yet. I guess Battlefield 4 looks more realistic than crysis 3.

Anyway I don't crave photorealism. Good art direction with interesting worlds trumps realism any day. Exploring a map in Knights of the Old republic or Mass Effect is way more compelling than exploring a map in Crysis, regardless of the graphics.

project CARS is pretty darn good, as are the F1 games as well. Non car game based I would have to say BF3/4 or some other game who's name currently evades me.

The new Unreal Tournament could be a good one in terms of graphics.

Could be,

btw that particular shot is not in-engine, and anyway it doesn't look realistic; too polished.

Except that the dev team flew around the map in a demonstration and called it a rough draft?

Cool, yes you're right.

I had seen that same shot elsewhere labelled as concept art.

I guess that still can be labelled as that considering that this is still in works and they are just showing what the game may look like. Might not even see that map in the final game or it won't look anything alike.

:P

oh you got me there :P wow amazin :D

still, we will soon have real photorealistic graphics. or rather laserealistic since the objects will be laser scanned :P

then converted to usable point cloud and rendering engine.

basicly the closest you can come to "photo" realism.

Is this game to come out November this year?

I've never played it, but every image I've seen of this game murders the uncanny valley.
