As title says, Nvidia new GT 720 entry level GPU!

 

Based on the GK208 GPU

Kepler-based card built on the 28 nm fabrication process

runs at a frequency of 797 MHz

Two memory configurations:  1 GB DDR3 at 1.8 GHz   |     2 GB GDDR5 at 5.0 GHz.

Nvidia claims: "2x faster web browsing, 5x faster video editing, and 8x faster photo editing also 70% faster gaming performance than integrated graphics while delivering rock-solid reliability and stability[...]"

They just love to mess with us, don't they? Given by their release schedule... in three months we should see the 710 and right after that or three months later we'll get the 800 series! Maybe!

What if the GT710 IS the 800 series???

 

It would make sense...low power consumption...runs cool...small form factor...high value. And they'd totally screw with us. Put it at a price point of $25...people would think it was so shitty that nobody would buy it. Then make the GTX880 cost $800 and perform worse than Pentium HD Graphics...they could make a killing on selling shitty graphics cards at a high price point.

This would be interesting if it involved a driver update allowing SLI with any other Nvidia card. So that this could be some kind of helper card or something.
