It should work fine for a long time. Only parts that don't like power interrupted are hard drives and shitty psu's.

It won't damage any parts (aka kill your pc) but it can corrupt your OS in which case you would need to reinstall windows.

If you have frequent power outages buy a UPS. This is a battery backup power that will run your PC for a couple minutes and tell it to shut down properly in the couple minutes it remains on after power is lost.

You sure? or are you insane.......

It's not good for it but it should be fine. I have to unplug my 24 pin for the PC to start after a power outage and my bios settings get all messed up. But if you can't do anything about it, I wouldn't worry too much. Not going to break stuff hardware wise but could mess up some bios settings and lose your work. (If it is not saved)

Not sure if it was because of this, but I used to live (moved now to another) old house, but the powerlines were really old and quite unstable. Result: PSU + mobo destroyed somehow (Medion pc, not the greatest quality). Had to send it in for 2 weeks. I believe they said that the PSU short circuited the mobo. Not sure if that's possible though.

Most dangers of a power loss is the just the power loss but if its a quick intermittent power loss followed by a power on, worse if its happens more than for one cycle. Think of it as someone playing with the light switch but at a much faster rate.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

It's not the off, it's the on. Surges kill psu's. Think lightning. Now if you're turning the power off from the wall and it's not surging back on, not quite so damaging but not good for Windows. It will bitch and complain for good reason. You should always have the machine powered down before cutting the power. Now if the machine is off, then go right ahead. It won't affect a thing.

It shouldn't damage anything. I've had to slam on the power switch on the splitter cable thingy that i've plugged my pc into during massive thunderstorms before and it hasn't been damaged yet.

I feel like this is a Troll post... Why would you even ask, answer is always going to be yes. Your components will start to die out slowly :(

I think he really didn't know, you'd be surprised at how many people aren't tech savvy

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC
