are you looking for 11", 13" 15" 17" ?

Thin and light? Or high performance and good cooling?

Check out PC Specialist where you can build custom laptops you can get really good specs for the money (they used Clevo based laptops)

And fit it with an 880m and an i5/i7 depending on budget!!!!! cheapest 880m (which is quite rare in 15") laptop in the UK from my research

Try to stay away from Ebay on here.

I don't see a problem with ebay as long as the warranty is clearly labelled and it's from a trusted seller. Ebay isn't a bad place to get things as long as you're smart about purchases. Plus in my experience as long as you have your documents in order, eBay and Paypal protect buyers. Additionally, you can always buy with a credit card to ensure that you have additional control over your purchases in cases of fraud.

My vote is probably for this, although the Gigabyte P25W linked before is probably a decent option as well. Still, I'm assuming that's the Clevo P150SM-A model? I wonder why it has the option to configure two storage drives(not including mSATA), when I thought it only had one...

I am not sure which specific Clevo model it is, but its a pretty kick ass system, though a little plain and slightly on the thicker side

But I am happy with previous clevo products

If you're referring to the 4K Lenovo Y50 that Linus made a video of today, then no, it probably isn't great for gaming. As Linus said in his video, it had serious issues when trying to game at 1080p, which is the resolution you'd want to game at since it only has a 860M.

But there is the non 4K models. Which should be considered along with Asus G/N550JK, Gigabyte P34G v2.

True, but the guy's budget is 1200 pounds, so he's able to afford something with a GTX 870M(the Gigabyte P25W / Clevo laptops linked above by ShadowCaptain). I mean, it's up to him if he prefers something slim and portable over superior hardware, but I'm personally not big on it.

He is also able to afford the MSI Ghost/Stealth if he is into thinner laptops.

Yup, the GS60/GS70 are pretty good too. Still from what I can tell, the versions with the 870M are about 200 pounds over budget for OP. There could be cheaper ones though, I don't know all the UK places to look.
