Myself and @Askew have suggested multiple things, and without any yes/no/conversation/response (as far as I can remember)

I posted about a similar thing in Off Topic, only mine was about general shit-posting and bad responses where you could tell they didn't even read what OP took the time to write/ask.

 

I got a whole lot of responses like you did, ones like "if you dont like it, leave", "didnt read lolol", stupid gifs and responses from people who clearly didn't read what I said.

 

Messaged Linus and Slick, little did I know I was wasting my time. Admitted to them that I didn't know what to do aside from one solution (removing the post count and introducing a like or "answered"-point count type system that shows up in the post count's place, was told that it would cause more problems, I asked why, no response), got a heated argument filled with "I'm offended!". The general attitude was "there are bigger issues to deal with, we don't care".

 

My point is... Sure, you might like the forum and don't want to see it go down the shitter but it's not worth making a scene over. Problem is there are a lot of younger people coming on board that generally don't give a shit about anything and just want to be cool.

 

I kinda wish Linus and Slick wouldn't advertise the forum as a "great place" for asking questions or whatever, it's getting just as bad as YouTube. But that would never happen, what do the big guys care about the little guys like us? The more fame people get, the less they care about the individuals following them. It's sad but it's inevitable.
