Thought that would be the downfall. Plans are for a mechanical keyboard. Love this mouse though, cost £6 and fits my hand perfect even if it isnt amazing for gaming its so comfy!

Yeah, I'd recommend getting HyperX Cloud II as well.

Yeah. Was planning on getting the first edition when I was looking for a headset but got these Razer ones for £50 off a friend. The only good points is they are wireless and the base looks nice. Sound and mic are pretty bad to be honest though. Bit disappointed but glad I didn't pay to much

Just try to stay away from Razer at all costs :P

For 25 quid more:

7/10 I like it. Even with an older i5 and GPU it still holds up nicely. Plus I can see you're making strides in some upgrades. (Though I think it's time for atleast a TB HDD ;))

I will probably upgrade my GPU before my Sandy bridge i5 which still performs really great. But first I'm buying a digital piano, so I guess I wont upgrade my GPU soon enough for 2015 titles.

I do need a new HDD, it will be coming soon™  :P

6/10 seems fair. I've got a sweet spot for 2600k's.

Normally i'm not a huge dell fan, and i need to swap the power supply desperately. But the monitors were on sale, and for 60hz, 32bit panels they work damn well. Perfect for the work I do in premier, photoshop and AA.

You know, I cant fault you for buying monitors on sale. I bought 3 AOC monitors that actually are better than I thought they were going to be. In the end, if they work for you that's all that matters  :D

  • CPU

    Intel i5 3470

  • Motherboard

    Gigabyte H77N-wifi

RAM

8GB G-Skill 2133mhz ( I bought it during newegg's sale recently for $55 bucks and used my old Kingston 8GB for my brother's build)

GPU

Sapphire Dual X 7950 with one broken fan that I ghetto rigged with a case fan taped on top

Case

Node 304

Storage

128GB Samsung 830 SSD, 2TB Toshiba HD, 320GB WD Blue (for backups of the most important stuff)

PSU

XFX 550w 80+ Bronze PSU (great psu, based on a seasonic one and it's dead silent)

Display(s)

Dell 2240M IPS and Acer H226HQL IPS (both are based on the exact same LG IPS panel and have essentially the same design)

Cooling

Intel Stock. It's probably the loudest part in my system but frankly I don't feel like replacing it with an aftermarket cooler as long as it keeps working and keeps my temps decent

Keyboard

CM Storm quickfire rapid w/ MX blues

Mouse

Logitech G9x COD edition (I bought the COD edition because it was $20 cheaper than the regular g9x at the time)

Sound

Awesome DENON receiver with Micca MB42x speakers, and at least 20 pairs of headphones and earphones.

Operating System

Windows 8.1 + Arch
