What is wrong with some of these people on Amazon?

Blair

Evertime I go on Amazon now to find a price on a hardware component I see nothing but way overpriced rip offs. I was looking to see prices on the 650 Ti so I could get a idea on how much I should sale mine for. But what I saw was ridiculous, Like this 650 Ti Boost for Example. http://www.amazon.com/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-650-BOOST/dp/B00GKIJXUE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405337852&sr=8-1&keywords=650+Ti+Boost   I mean really? $249.99 for a 650 Ti boost? You can get a GTX 760 for that price. Not everything on Amazon is overpriced, But alot of stuff now is. I hate when people try to take advantage of others. That is my biggest gripe. When I was upgrading my computer I had to use newegg because the prices at Amazon were insane. I hope this gets better because Amazon produces competition. But if we have greedy rip off artists selling overpriced stuff it could hurt prices elswhere.

Yeah, Amazonians are fierce people (see what I did there?).  But all kidding aside, I agree with you, most components on Amazon are total rip-off's.

Same as how you get people trying to sell things on eBay for much more than they're worth. It's just something that people will do.

Is something wrong with the people selling? Or the people buying? ;)

If someone's stupid enough to just throw money at a product without doing any research whatsoever, that's there fault, not the seller who's profiting off of it.

I think it's because of international buyers who don't know local US prices, it's easy to buy from amazon/ebay internationally - sellers taking advantage of this situation

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC

650 Ti Boost...  now with 30% extra Ti.

And probably 30% extra in price too.

Amazon's prices for current hardware is fine. It's the old stuff that Amazon doesn't sell anymore and random people put it up for high hoping someone stupid comes along and buys it. As for the 650ti, used 280s are like $150 so a 650ti is like $50 I'm guessing.

Seriously you find this everywhere, not just on amazon. What I really hate is when I go on the Canadian amazon looking for something and then the seller is from the states... Like seriously fuck off with that, I go to the Canadian site to avoid import fees not to get roped into extra fees or having to wait extra time for it to get thru customs.

eBay is worse, it used to be a place to grab a quick bargain, now it's usually 20% above retail...

Depends on the item, the time of sale, and the people bidding. Sometimes you get a bidding war and they get caught up in it, driving the price up, and sometimes you get one person who bids and ten people who forget. The problem is being that one person.

My previous 4P Folding & current Personal Rig

I once was a poor man, but then I found a crown.
