It will probably have a negative effect on battery life though.... but I guess most smartphone fanatics buy new phones every 6 months anyways :P

Nope!

 

 

 

Furthermore, its structure seems to be incredibly rugged: After 1,000 charge/discharge cycles, the prototype battery still retained 80% of its total energy capacity.

This will be pretty sweet. Combined with a better stand by time with newer OS's, the less resistive panels in regard to back light, and bigger 3500+mah batteries, we should easily see 4 or 5 days of useable battery life!

Come on big players. The little guys are cramming 5000mah batteries into very slim devices. Get on it.
