addicted to youtube...

Sounds stupid but I think im addicted to youtube. Its affecting my work and normal life. Id probly watch between 4 and 9 hours aday.

Anyone else have this problem? Or think its even a problem?

4-9 hours a day seems like alot. That is more than 1/3 of the day.

Try to look at the content you watch, and unsub the channels you do not really  need to watch, I maybe spend an hour tops watching youtube, or I put it on in the background while doing other things, like making breakfast, or something

Get the userstyles plugin and use it to add css to hide suggested videos. that's how youtube traps you.

Youtube has replaced cable television for me. I only watch like an hour-two hours tops a day.

If it affects your work and your personal life then just stop. Seriously, there is no youtube "addiction", there is no chemical dependency. If someone told you that he was addicted to TV and watches 12 hours a day you would simply call him lazy, not an "addict".

I'm more of a season watcher. In during the semester it's around 1 h a day. During the holidays probably 5+

Well since it's summer I watch videos maybe a third of the day because I have nothing else to do. Even during school (excluding the last month) I didn't watch a whole lot.

For example when I watch the WAN show, I put it on my second screen or ipad when I am playing a game, or doing work editing or something. 

 

Instead of just sitting staring at the screen you can get shit done. Maybe pop it onto the tv while doing some chores around the house, or whatever.

 

And again drop subs for things you that you watch for no reason. Everyone has channels they sub to and watch and there is no reason too

yeah i do the same with longer videos. alot of the stuff i watch these days seem to be lets plays... i think this has to do with that i really want to play these games but cant afford buy a gaming rig atm,

Was addicted to YT until I borrowed all 5 seasons of Breaking Bad from a friend.
Don't know what's gonna happen once it's over though.
