Apple Back to School promotion starts from today, July 1 and will run through September 9. To be eligible to avail this promotion, you should be a college student or a parent buying a gadget for a college student. Faculty and staff members also get to avail this promotion offered by Apple.

also along with the discounts you get a $100 Apple store gift card when buying a Mac and a $50 when buying an iPad

Although I wont get anything since I'm waiting for the next iPad mini launch in the October time frame

It doesn't even matter to me...

This isn't happening in Romania.

iphone 5C comes in white aswell as the 5th gen ipods

I'm not a big fan of apple stuff, except for their laptops (however i would just put windows on it)

Aluminium can be white.

It can be, but it's not on current apple devices, with the exception of the iPhone 5s.

I don't hate apple products or their prices. I hate when they are bought for things like school and basic use like that. 

muh specs 

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Now I may be crazy but-

If web dev is all I did, and I didn't game or 3d edit, I would actually enjoy a 27 inch imac, and likely buy one and bootcamp it. 

Apple stuff is overpriced like no ones business, but it is nice, and it retains its value very well for resale later down the line.

if bootcamped then yeah overpriced since most of the value I find from Apple products is the programming quality and the ecosystem integration

Yah I do intend to start ios dev. Just no money atm.

if you just want to learn and practice a Mac mini is much cheaper $599. I got one for the same reason. Its just laptop parts in small aluminum box

Don't even have that much. I do plan to get one, my laptop has hdmi input, and I could throw that In a bag. 

For now my hackintosh will have to do.

Actually, its a Apple Store gift card, so you can actually use it to buy physical goods at the apple store online or in a physical apple store. It cannot be used for the app store/itunes/ibooks.

Not sure if that was just a typo on your part or if you misread before you posted. Just thought i'd point that out.

Yup, I've needed a pair of closed headphones for awhile so I'll probably pick up some Beats 2 headphones for $100 instead of $200.
