So, when can I have you come over to my house and basically replicate this? And maybe replicate it again when we move... Because my poor bedroom is not cutting it.

I've always wanted one of these, but imagine how easy it'd be to break into with only wood panels holding you back.

 • 5 weeks later...

just been doing a small project ready for the bigger this summer.
my ears are very sensitive to any noise i can hear high pitched noises not many people my age can. Even hear things my small nephews cant hear.

Project PC Further away. (Remote PC)
So my PC is:
11db idle
with stock 980 around 40DB load (would be 12DB without)
(tested with a Calibrated device)

so i wanted my PC further away.
So i bought the following:

2x 5M DP to DP cables (£15 pound each) i wanted to ensure 4K 60hz would work!

2x 5M USB 3.0 5Gbps Cable

1x ORICO 10-Port USB 3.0 Hub UK with 12V 4A Power Adapter

1x X-Rite i1Display Pro Calibrator for Monitors, Laptops, Projectors
The USB spilt into two!

The ColorMunki is to calibrate my ROG swift 4K & 1440P. Its very good and floors the spyderpro products with ease.

PC is in the bottom of the book case you can see the corner of it

Rest of the bed area

i also removed my Sky HD box for a new project very soon.

Next Project:
Server Area/Media Center
OLED TV upgrade

That is a very clever product. Especially when you consider how it must be wired internally. You ever wonder how you get a 7 port USB hub? It's because they take a 4 port hub chip, and the take one of those ports (leaving 3 for the user) to connect another hub chip (now 7 ports) and then in this case they've taken one of those ports and put it on the top, where there is another switch chip, except the final one can be detached. Super duper clever.

Looking to buy GTX690, other multi-GPU cards, or single-slot graphics cards:

I know the feeling of high pitched noises. One of my monitors makes a high pitched noise when it's in standby, So annoying.

But man, that project is just amazing and looks BEA-utiful.

@smogsy can I live in your backyard?!? I'm serious, I will rent that space! I don't know how easy it is for Americans to rent there but we can just do it under the table ;)

Also with you on the high pitch noises. I had to return a monitor and my Roku 4 because the standby noise they made gave me a headache. No one else in my family could hear it and they thought I was crazy! lol
