Noctua fans aren't "poop brown", they are complimentary caramel colours.

If I'm not content with the stock 200mm fan in the Phanteks EvoLv whenever that comes out, nice to know I have more options. :)

If you don't like a color on a product, you normally wouldn't say "I hate that disgusting caramel ice cream color"... it's too sweet. You would find something disgusting to go along, and poop fits perfectly. So. I understand why they say it, remember, not everyone has to think alike.

 

Just in case I'm not one of those, I couldn't care less about the color, all I want is performance. So, I'm pro-Noctua, although I know there are more fans, like the Gentle Typhoons... but that's another story.

Yeah, because that hasn't been done before right? That's just so BOOOOORING. I have even a better idea, why don't they make some stupid rings so we can swap.  :rolleyes:  :lol:

It's people like you that usually complains, they make black fans and you go screaming that is boring, asking why they did black fans and so on. That makes you part of the whining users. I have a better idea, choose the best performance fan and forget about the color. ;)

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

200mm Noctua fan, give it to me now baby and I'll have it mounted on my desk to blow sweet cool air into my face.

 

... I'm actually tempted to do this now. I have PWM extenders from my others and extra fan ports on my 24/7 NAS... I could so do this. I could run it based off the TZ01 temperature and have it adjust to ambients...

I don't usually complain about fan color because usually my largest fan is set up at the front of my rig behind a front bezel where it cannot be seen from the outside and my second largest pair of fans are on the top of my case again it cannot be seen from the outside. The only visable fans that can be seen is on the side panels. so chances are if you aren't putting them on a windowed side panel or a place that it will be clearly visable you probably won't see therefore it shouldn't matter what color it is. Plus the colors don't look like poop to me.
