The GPU Overclocking Database

I was messing around with my old gaming system to see if I could get it to run fortnite and I did get it to work. but when I tryed to overclock my graphics card to get better fps the textures got blurry did I do something wrong? The game still runs normaly but the texture got blurry?

I5-3550

It could be the VRAM but I dont see why over clocking would make it worse.

it was the armor. water cooled it with a 120 aio amd g12. perfect now. get 2088 mhz and never goes over 45c

This is what my "Lite" version of "GTX 1080 Ti" aka GTX 1070 Ti can do aircooled, this card has got some damn fantastic air cooler on it.

Its not even near Power Limit or Temp Limit, card just refuces to go beyond 2126Mhz and by "refuces" i mean it wont go beyond no matter what i put into "Clock Offset", time to try K Boost mode soon.

Is there any Info for 10X0 GPU's? I could only find the 1080, or do the 9X0's count for their 1000 equivalents? Sorry if its a stupid question.

I have a Corsair GTX 1080ti Hydro. I used MSI app to OC it and got worse results on 3DMark than under normal settings.

Had my Gigabyte GTX1070 G1 v1.0 for a couple of months now but only just decided to see if I can what i can push it to.

 

Here are my results. Cant seem to fault the overclock, yet. Stressed tested with both OCCT and MSI Kombuster.

Also wondering are these good numbers for a GTX1070 OC?

I've got 150MHz stable on the core of my MSi Armor OC 1070 but I couldn't get 500MHz stable in heaven on my RAM (so settled on 450MHz)

 

Out of curiosity, what does GPU-Z report your RAM back as?  Samsung or Micron? 

 With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

I was able to get 150 running Kombuster with no artifacts detected but when I ran OCCT i got errors. So dropped it back to 130 and both ran with out errors.

 

GPU-Z reports it as Micron.

my OptiPlex 7040 MT

I was screwing around today and started playing with the clock speed and ram speed to see what it had I end up stable at 1809 and 3600 running the same loads and it never broke 62c with the fans on auto do you think it has a lot more or is it not worth pushing it farther being a 75 watt slot powered evga 1050ti

the temperatures are quite nice but i guess you overstressed the system to much.. maybe its the age too gl with that!

Can anyone give me an idea of what the best overclock levels for a passively cooled 9600 GT Silent Cell card would be? And what software is best for overclocking beginners? I've never overclocked any of my GPU's before and have chosen this expendable card for testing. Hopefully, I should be able to push it enough to see some sort of fps boost with Unigine's Valley. haha

Is it safe to overclock my 1080 Ti? I've heard the 1080 Ti uses GPU Boost and manual OC won't make any difference? Also heard the 1080 Ti was so pushed for performance, that there's barely any headroom to OC?

 

Is it true?

My MSI GTX 1070 Overclock settings:

I couldn't push the memory much further as around 300 I get really obvious artefacts. Is +180/250 decent for msi 1070?

Hi guys, this is my first time posting on the forum so i'm not sure this is the right place. Hopefully it is.

Since then, I have read and watched as much as I could and this past weekend i felt ready to explore the OC world. I have a 1070 Ti Cerberus A8G and after 3 days of messing with MSI Afterburner, i think i pushed it to the max for stability. Wanted to post my results and also get some feedback on things i could do better and if you guys were able to push yours further. 

 

PC specs:

i7 8700k @ 4.7Ghz all cores

16GB Corsair vengeance 3000Mhz

Asus 1070 Ti Cerberus A8G

970EVO 250GB NVme

1.2TB Intel SSD 

 

Process:

I used a combination of Kombustor, valley, Superposition (the game mode is fun) as well as firestrike. But mostly kombustor as i like how it has an artifact meter that goes crazy when you go over the limit. I would also play BF5 (Campaign) & Forza H4 (built in benchmark) in between for real world testing.

 

MSI AB settings: unlocked voltage control and monitoring, enabled force constant voltage, maxed out core voltage and a hefty fan curve to stay at 70C under full load.

 

At first, i didn't want to touch the core voltage but when i reached +180 on core, boost wouldn't go any higher as it was hitting stock voltage of 1.062V. I figured since i got a binned card, it could probably handle more voltage. 

 

In this screenshot, i was making final adjustments for stability. When i started this session, the core clock was +235 and memory clock +350. Artifacts would come up every 6-8mins. I started going down on the OC by -5 until i settled on what you see +220 on core and +330 on memory. At the time of screenshot, it had been a good 30mins since the artifact counter hadn't gone up. I ran it for another 30mins for good measure and it was good.

This is Pre-OC. my stock clocks were 1847 on the core and 4006(8012) on memory.

Post Stable-OC. my current stable OC numbers are 2088 on the core and 4333(8666) on memory.

Conclusion:

In benchmarks and in games, i gained about 10fps from the OC. I don't know why but 10 doesn't get me too hyped given the hours put into it or maybe that's about what is expected when you overclock. 

What do you guys think ? Do these numbers sound about right for a 1070 Ti ? Can I get more fps by messing with the clocks differently ? I pushed the core clock more than memory as i read the higher the better for games vs memory.

 

All in all, this was a fun experience. I am able to play BF5 on high settings @60-75Hz on my LG 38" 1440p+ ultrawide. 

 

I learned a lot and looking forward to my next card.

Running my 1080ti on its stock Bios, so heavily power limited, im getting the following OC, balancing temperature (38-42c load), Power limit, and voltage.

 

Gigabyte 1080ti Gaming OC (the white one) Water cooled - Barrow Block

Core 2088mhz (+152 on voltage curve)

VRAM 6237mhz effective (+724)

1.05v (1.062 stock)

 

I find this does power limit a little in Superposition and Heaven, and more so in Valley (4k, not 1080p). To stop power limiting in valley completely i would need to drop to 0.981v and a core of 2012mhz.

 

Obviously its possible to go higher on max core, but increasing the voltage over 1.05v causes massive power limiting.

 

I may in the future try the XOC bios if it works with my particular card, since that 'apparently' has power limiting completely disabled, but can result in cards pulling way to much power if u set the voltage to high. Since my card does not have dual bios im less inclined to flash the bios , less i brick it.

 

Ill likely do what i did the my 780 Classi, run it for a few years then go ham on it. I flashed the bios on my classi, used the Overvoltage tool and pushed 1.5v into it getting up over 1400mhz core.

ANYONE. Vega 56

 

I got an RX Vega 56. There is a youtube video about replacing the bios of the Vega 56 to that of the Vega 64. I also have read that you can boot up the Vega 56 fairly easily. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this. You basically trick a Vega 56 into being a Vega 64.

MSI 2070 Gaming Z, with a stock cooler and Bios. 

 

Boost Clock is 2070Mhz constant boost (1830Mhz stock) 

Voltage 1.037V  (stock)

Temp 64c (max with custom fan curve)

VRAM is at 8250Mhz (+1250Mhz)

Sadly hitting the power limit at 111.1%.  

 

During tests I saw an improvement with the VRAM all of the way through till +1250Mhz, then it starts to plateau at about 1300mhz.

Max of 1200Mhz (Original Single Fan = 85-89*c) at Stock 1.2v when Loaded.

Now 1250Mhz Max Coreclock using 1.24v seen in GPUZ,.. when 1.3v set in MSI.

Honestly that doesn't tell me much,  it's probably good... But a 1050ti at 1700MHz seems kinda unfair in comparison, my 1050ti did (does) 2000MHz easily and probably higher memory clock too,  I don't remember that though.
