How do you game?

Im a console gamer, well i used to be, and for me the keyboard mouse thing.....i dont get. well at least the keyboard i dont get. i have tried over and over again to get used to it but i just cant. So in my effort to improve my gaming experiance i came up with the idea of using both a game pad and mouse with the game pad replacing the keyboard. personally i love it but it got me thinking does anyone else use this configuration and how many gamers use a pad over K&M

this is only for FPS 3rd person etc for RTS etc M&K just has to be the way

some genres can't be played with specific input devices...
mouse/keyboard for life!

Keyboard gives you a lot more buttons to press making it so you can have more controls in the game. Also you can press buttons faster with a keyboard as it uses all your fingers unlike a gamepad.

A mouse is much more precise and faster to aim with than a gamepad.

Depends on the game, if its a third person shooter/first person shooter which requires accuracy then mouse and keyboard with my monitor, if its a plat-former/racing/3rd person casual game then gamepad and tv

I find that although the keyboard may not be the most natural thing, the mouse is a must for a FPS. even in Titanfall, which is very controller friendly, I find that the controller is either slow or innacurate. mouse is both fast and accurate. some games on the other hand I prefer to use a controller, such as Batman or Assassin's Creed

I'd be interested in trying out a gaming keypad if the cheaper models didn't cost more than an entry level mechanical keyboard

I don't own a console and I haven't found a game I would buy a controller for. I just don't play it if controls suck.

As a former console gamer I now find it hard to live without the mouse/KB. I honestly feel like it simply a superior input method than the controller. I dunno why but KB and mouse just feels natural to me. A lot more than controllers ever did anyway. I tried to play BF3 on my friend's playstation and I could hardly walk around xD

I prefer mouse and keyboard for fps games, but being a console gamer for nearly my entire life means I can use a controller just as easily.

Depends on the game. FSP - KB & Mouse all the way. Some 3rd person action/adventure games like Dark Souls and side-scrollers - 360 controller. For racing games/sims - wheel and pedal setup.

I always use mouse and keyboard for FPS games and a gamepad for 3rd person games. I find mouse and keyboard to be too clunky for 3rd person games.

I picked Keyboard and mouse option even though it's technically a mixture of both, I would say 90% KB/M, 10% PS4 controller

Fighting games, pure driving games, hmmm I'm sure there's other stuff, just can't think of em right now, all much better with a controller rather than KB/M

M+KB for most games (FPS, Strategy).  Gamepad for Fighting games, Racing games, platformers, or Dark Souls.

Dark Souls is a bit of an anomaly.  Once I tweak the M/KB bindings I actually don't mind playing it that way at all.  But I got Dark Souls 1 on Xbox first, played it a fair bit.  When it came out on PC, I found it easier to just plug in my Xbox remote and retain all of my controller prowess.  Then I could switch back and forth between playing with friends on PC and playing with friends on Xbox and not hurt my neurons.

Keyboard and mouse mostly with controller for some games. Just depends really. And sometimes I grab my Nvidia Shield and play from my bed or elsewhere in the house. Keyboard and mouse takes some getting used to but it's worth it.
