Help me choose what CPU to upgrade to

Hi! I've got a r7 2700 with a rtx 3070. I plan to do one last upgrade on the CPU but still don't know which one. The 5600x is around 140€, 5700x is 175€, the 5800x around 200€, the 5700x3d is 260€ and the 5800x3d is 300€. Should I get the 5600x for a couple years and then upgrade to am5 or go all out and get the 5800x3d? I play 1080p but plan to switch to 1440p in the future. Im not on the budget, I just don't want to wast money.Thank you!

Why dont you upgrade to AM5 now with the 7800X3D?

That will be an incredible performance uplift, I am saying this because you say you have 'no budget'

If you don't already have a B550/X570 motherboard with a decent 2x16GB kit of RAM, I'd just leave your AM4 platform as it is and jump to AM5.

I read that jump to am5 is not worthy yet, just want to get the most for the money.

And where did you read this?

The 7800X3D is incredibly fast and worth it if you have the budget for it.

The performance uplift from the 7800X3D over your Ryzen 2700 would be insane.

Either get the 5800X3D or the 7800X3D since you have the budget for it.

if you want to get the most for the money then update your bios and get the 5700X3D. It's much more cost efficient than spending ~650 euros on a new CPU, mobo and RAM

Message me on discord (bread8669) for more help

Worth upgrading then. Me personally, I'd spend the 10% more or so to get the slightly higher binning/clocks of the 5800x3D. It won't help with overclocking, but should last a bit longer, and 40 gbp extra now isn't bad. In where it'll matter over the next few years, it'll really start to matter. Its about a proportional increase in boost clock to price.

Just get the 5700x3d

5700x and 5600x are overpriced and only worth buying used if available not to mention they get obliterated by the 12600kf usually around the same price if not cheaper

X570 cant bclk properly so beware of that when buying x3d
