Dual 4k tv (worth it or not)

This was before you told us what tv you had. The only upgrade you can have is size. If that is worth spending a lot of money then well a not too painfull upgrade a samsung s90c 77 is 3200$ at most usually and a bigger tv.

You won't get any improvements over the sony you have now except that the samsung is bigger.

They also have the 83" something s90c series one.

Keep in mind this is the diagonal size the length and height increase ENORMOUSLY when going up so mindfull that it fits. Also make sure your tv furniture or arm is rated for the WEIGHT!

Ahh man

The only upgrade is lg signature z series, which I can't afford at all

Bdw what upgrade can I get then...apart from display if no upgrade exists right now

For what?

What do you want to improve?

Also again our eyes are literally NOT GOOD ENOUGH to see the difference between 8k and 4k. At a distance of 1m you have achieved retina viewing experience on the 88inch 8k. Which is WAY TOO CLOSE as you literally cant see the whole screen from that distance.

For a comfortable 88inch viewing experience you need to be at the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM 2.5m which is MORE than the minimum range to have retina on 4k.

Making a 4k oled and 8k oled at 88 inches both retina and not distinguishable from eachother.

This also scales when you go up and down in size as you can either then sit closer or further for a nice viewing experience.

The only other upgrade for the screen you could do is move away from the screen and look at sound.

You dont need a lot to get a REALLY GOOD experience with surround sound and it can be budget friendly or expensive as hell but both can be good and well done.

Else idk diy ambilight like on the philips tvs?

Also about the 8k. We literally dont have any gpu that can play at 8k well. You'll compromise on the gaming experiencee, graphics and framerate just to get to play at 8k native and thats just not worth it at all.

Also keep in mind. There is NO 8K CONTENT part from tech demos basically as the resolution simply doesnt make sense for media consumption at this point in time and will take even longer than 4k to start coming up. Also as you can see 4k isnt even that popular still and lots of stuff is still just 1080p for media.

Games are also still somehow targeting 1080p mostly so thats also fun

Vr games?

Like basicallt everyone gets motion sick using them as big desktop screens let alone the discomfort of wearing them for a long time, massive eye strain, headaches, sweat, heat, unsharp image (yes even on the best ones), rgb fringing,...

its fine for like an hour doing vr games but sitting still using it as a screen is very motion sickness inducing for most people.

Unless you feel like training your body to handle it (this takes a year or so with a good bit of use) it's not worth it much.

Its a niche that is fun to use from time to time or you commit to going vr usage heavily.

But why are you trying to find a way to spend money? Why not just save it until you actually need to upgrade (or for emergency)

???

People already suggested 77-inch and 83-inch televisions. Those ARE upgrades to your current television. Significantly larger television are a much, much bigger difference than like a 3% decrease in color quality you won't even notice.

All of these televisions are top-of-the-line OLED. There's no upgrade or downgrade between them in picture quality. Unless you're a professional video editor staring at HDR all day, you're not going to notice a difference between the OLED televisions.

Future tech isn't out yet. I can't say. Also, I don't know what ylu have or what your needs are. Safe bet is a GPU upgrade will be needed eventually.

Stop spending money without a reason. Save the money for when there are new products that pique your interest or when something breaks.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
