Late reply but yeah, it's for a wall socket.

Hm, so odd that I can't find the plate Linus used. I was hoping to not order a custom plate since most companies that do only do it in metal and not plastic that would match the other plates in my house.

I appreciate the response though!

Amazon.com: Cable Matters 2-Pack 1-Port 8K HDMI Wall Plate in White with 8K 60Hz and 4K 120Hz (HDMI Outlet, HDMI Wall Outlet, HDMI Box Supporting VRR, ALLM and HDR) : Electronics

Then change out the HDMI plug for Display Port..

Amazon.com: QIANRENON 8K DP1.4 Panel Mount Coupler Displayport Female to Female Straight-Through Extension Adapter, for Fixed Mounting on Dashboards or Equipment Panel, 2 pcs, Screws Included : Electronics

That's basically just what he's doing at the time stamp of your video except going from DP to DP instead of HDMI to DP..

I'm trying to find a wall plate similar to the one Linus used in his cable managing home LAN center video where it's a short screwed-in adapter on a decora wall strap.

I can't seem to find exactly that on Amazon or other websites. Anyone know what it's called or can link to a listing of one?
