MBR to GPT

is there a way to convert my OS disk (which is MBR) to GPT without losing any data?

Not that I've found, its been a few months since I explored this, but it was a dead end in the end.

Ryzen 7950x3D PBO +200MHz / -15mV curve CPPC in 'prefer cache'

What OS?

 

Microsoft has a tool called MBR2GPT that should come with windows. Ive done this on many boot drives without issues or data loss in the paste. Make a backup first just to be safe.

IIRC, the tool only included in Win 10 build 1703 and above.

 

Not that I've tried/used it before, mind you.

 

And yes, as @Electronics Wizardy said, it's good practice to back up the data first. Just in case.

Does it not let you just 'convert to GPT disk' in Disk Management? I might've been thinking about the other way around.
