I would like to install windows xp

Windows 7 lover

Hey guys so I got a lenovo laptop e490s(not my work laptop) and a WDC WD50 00LPLX-66ZNTT0 SCSI disk device in a external usb drive disk, which is

2.5 inch Transparent USB3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure

Product Model

ORICO-2139U3. I want to install windows xp in the external drive for experimenting and nostalgia purposes.

(The only os i like is windows 7 ,windows 10, windows xp and linux mint)

How do I do this

Hardware is simply too new for this to work without substantial workarounds that aren’t guaranteed to work. I recommend at least a semi era appropriate machine for windows xp. Some core2duo or older, as trying to get it functional on newer hardware is an exercise in futility even if you’re working with hardware at the end of its native support range like haswell CPUs and nvidia Maxwell gpus. That’s pushing it when it comes to even basic compatibility, anything newer gets into entirely DIY territory in terms of working with modern UEFI, chipset features, drive standards and even core hardware.
