Do you have a question? I think the video goes over some of the options, but it really depends on your workload. 

 

I think calling hardware raid as 'dead' is a bit of a simplifaction. Software managed storage is growing, but there are still many uses for hardware raid.

I don’t trust ether. 
there are use case for both.

always have a backup, or two, or three… 

try to not rewrite your backup files, with bad corrupt RAID data ( this is actually hard ).

I posted a vid about RAID and it was moved to storage devices.

But,

this is where it was originally posted?

I don't see the logic in the change.

Clarification would be appreciated.

I'm not a tech, just a hobbyist, so there may be a fine distinction I am not cognitive of.
