Do you hate, despise windows search nowadays with a burning passion?

 

Do you want the good ol' days back?

Well, do I have a solution for you.

 

Just download PowerToys by Microsoft (I got it from Microsoft store, but you can probably find it other places too).

Go to PowerToys Run, turn it on (disable web search), press ALT + SPACE and boom.

What a glorious day  (can't believe they don't just make this the standard windows search),

 

 

there were problems with the remember last position, but somehow made it work. I changed.

\AppData\Local\Microsoft\PowerToys\PowerToys Run\Settings/ --> PowerToysRunSettings.json --> "RememberLastLaunchLocation": true,

 

and went into every possible place to make it run as administrator.

i mean i dont really because i still have her, but since she's "discontinued" its not the same...

so cool! it remembers *everything*... always "most/last used" on top, you only have to type *1 letter*  (im lazy so this is awesome) 

 

 

also search works? what's wrong with it in newer, cortanaless versions?
