To "answer" your question, why does it matter to you ? I find it very odd, to take more pride in spending (consistent amounts of) money, or whatever you are trying to show, than actually enjoying what you payed for. At least that's how you come across, judging not only by this post, but also by your post history, in regards to this subject.

To actually answer your question; the LTX Whale ticket price was $10,000. If we use that as the threshold for becoming a whale you've still got a long way to go. 

 

Given the prices of some of the items on the lttstore I don't think $1700 is really that crazy, especially if you're ordering everything individually paying separate shipping. 

 

I'm a little disappointed everyone replying went straight in to attack mode. It's understandable that people consider it distasteful when somebody starts bragging about how much money they've spent, especially for things like influencer merch, but if people played along just a little bit we might have seen some of the actual whales reveal how much they've spent and that probably would have been much more eye opening. It wouldn't surprise me if there's a small handful of people who have spent $10,000+ on LTT merch.

I don't know about the details of the LMG customers, but I used to manage a store and there were clients who came in frequently and bought small items and felt they were great customers, but they were generally unaware that there were occasional, or less frequent customers that would roll in spend more in a single purchase than others did all year long and required less work and didn't complain as much.

I am guessing that there have been some orders for multiple screwdrivers or backpacks as a business or team in a organization buy multiples for their staff, that make most big orders from regular people look small in comparison.  Eg, buy 10 backpacks, screwdrivers and polos and you just spent $3500, which is nothing for a business to reward their employees at the end of the year.

Do you want to be a whale?  Do you want a high five for spending money?
