@bobbiboiYou signed up under 2 different folding usernames. "Aaron" and "Corz" which one are you folding under?

Yeah, sorry, I initially signed up under the name Aaron but then realised that name had already been used by someone else that wasn't me for F@H, so I changed my name to Corz to avoid taking any credit for any of their work. I'm sticking with the name Corz

Added the power stats to my main two boxes:

image.thumb.png.a513617be8e54b9ec8185c39dedb893c.png

https://csdprojects.co.uk/fah

The only caveat being that the 4090 is on my AI Upscaling box so obviously if I'm upscaling PPD will reduce while power and busy (utilisation) will remain high.

Windows box, I'm just using a batch file to write the output to a shared folder:

@echo off
:loop
nvidia-smi --query-gpu=gpu_bus_id,timestamp,temperature.gpu,utilization.gpu,utilization.memory,memory.used,memory.free,power.draw --format=csv,noheader,nounits -f S:\upscaler.log
timeout /t 5
goto loop

Basically the same on Linux:

#!/bin/bash
while [ 1 ]; do
nvidia-smi --query-gpu=gpu_bus_id,timestamp,temperature.gpu,utilization.gpu,utilization.memory,memory.used,memory.free,power.draw --format=csv,noheader,nounits -f stats/foldbox.log
sleep 5
done

Both are using the same SAMBA share that's writing to a tmpfs filesystem (RAM disk).

Stats occasionally disappear if the file is being written the exact moment its tried to be read.

There might be lower participation this event but it looks like we may break records for actual work completed, if F@H can keep up.

Unfortunately its not likely to get cold enough here for me to run all my hardware.

I did post that late in the night so there's a decent chance that we just gotta wait for all the Americans to wake up lol.

Also I see someone has two 4090s. Going up on the leaderboard against them is going to be tough lol.

Tomorrow I'll try and setup as much as I can, probably 90% CPU but it'll be a lot haha. I might be able to run F@H on 15x A40 for a day or two as an excuse for power and thermal load testing, maybe...

Most of the servers I can use should be range between 0.6m to 1m PPD each, so I need what? 60 of them? Yea damn that is not happening, not even close haha.

Oh dear, I wonder who that could be?  The crazy fool! 😉

There's also @jakkuh_t who has six 4090s as I recall.

That would be a great video! You should put that into the Video suggestions ! They could tell about which ones are better at folding & use less power. How to run multiple GPU set ups & what the best CPU for folding is. I’d watch the hell out of that

When it comes to efficiency I'm fairly sure the 4090 is ahead of the pack when you look at how much faster it is on the same project as the 4070 Ti (Est Time being estimate time to do the whole work unit) using only 50% more power.

image.thumb.png.9f37a17a0cdbf409be5ae08337b23e57.png

That said it doesn't necessarily mean much to us as the user, as were burning the same watts regardless so more points per watt is only really for bragging rights.  Of course its more beneficial for science if we get more work done faster.

The weather has conveniently gotten down to 5C so I can fold without roasting.

I'm producing WU and showing on EOC as wONKEyeYEs for team 223518.

How do I check that I'm registered at LTT?

I don't know if this is a relevant data base, but I don't appear in it,

https://stats.foldingathome.org/team/223518

Thanks.

Your personal stats are better.

Folding@home | Statistics (foldingathome.org)

I personally prefer EOC where I can use it.

wONKEyeYEs User Summary - Folding@Home Stats - EXTREME Overclocking

From your stats page there, you can click on your name and it's hyperlinked to the team's stats that you're folding for.

Or from the search page, put your name in and search by User Name and it'll show any team you've folded for in the past or are currently folding for.

I've got my two computers space heaters ready to go! I may add a third one this year, depending on how well they heat the room. I'm in a new house, so I don't know exactly how things will go temperature-wise.

The computers are in my work from home space in the basement, and their job is to keep me nice and toasty at my job through the winter months.
