Kerbal was in Early Access 4 years :P, what do you mean by buggy ass mod. It plays and feels different from the Arma 2 DayZ, and has had many sections of the engine rewritten. Also if you knew how steam review worked you would no the popular reviews hit the top, generally the funny negative ones. :)

Is the game still walking simulator or did things get added?

 

The playthrough videos I've seen seem pretty meh. I know it's beta and all, but the Arma mod DayZ looks considerably less buggy than the standalone.

I did enjoy playing the mod of Arma, but even that felt buggy at times and this standalone even more so. Maybe when I start getting grey hairs, the game will be finished.

i will buy dayZ when it's 95% off... development has been terribly slow for it and I honestly don't think it will ever be finished at this rate.

I have put 1000+ hours into the dayz mod. In sa i have put 3 it is buggy bad and missing loads of features. Biggest waist of money.

I have put about 900 hours or so into Standalone, probably the best game I have ever played in my life. Maybe it's because you are bad at the game or something?

EXP. gets a update about every week, stable gets a update every month give or take.

The price went up well before the sale, and stayed up. They said 4 months in advance the price would go up around that time. Also look at the thread post date, then feel sad about yourself. It always goes 15% off every sale basically BTW.
