Why is Everyone Buying This Mic?

James

Buy a FIFINE A6T PC USB Condenser Microphone: https://geni.us/uy1T
Buy a Blue Yeti Condenser Microphone: https://geni.us/0ys3s
Buy a Razer Seiren Mini Condenser Microphone: https://geni.us/a0Yhy
Buy an Elgato Wave:3 Condenser Microphone: https://geni.us/XSXw
Buy a Sennheiser MKH 50 Condenser Microphone: https://lmg.gg/oA0BN
Buy an Electro-Voice RE20 Dynamic Cardioid Microphone: https://lmg.gg/qrT9y
Buy a Shure MV7 Dynamic Microphone: https://geni.us/FBbBh

Purchases made through some store links may provide some compensation to Linus Media Group.

It's the best selling mic on Amazon...but why? In this video we compare the Fifine A6T against other inexpensive USB microphones, as well as some XLR mics (like the RE20 we use on the WAN show) to find out if the A6T is as good a buy as it initially appears...

@James Your take on the GN video? Do you feel that production moves too quickly to do effective quality control?

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares? He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

One of the first things in the video was from the ask the people at LMG and he mentioned that the lack of time for reflecting was one of the issues with their production schedule I don't know think he necessarily should be @ed about it.

Y'all got a duplicate review in that video, just FYI. Slow down, review things more before hitting publish.

That's funny.   You know, I never stop to read those things when videos (LTT or not) add quotes or reviews from sites or forums stating one thing or another.  In lieu of the video, not great.  But not the biggest video faux pas that could be done.  What's wild to me is how crafted our web experiences are these days compared to 10 years ago.  I wonder if I would see the mic as my number one option if I hadn't seen the video.  Thanks, Google.

But great catch by the way.

The RGB being the way it is (Iam assuming it is wired up like Logitech webcams) Where the light must be on for the mic to recive power. and no software is a plus if you have to adjust it use OBS (if you are streaming) Or audacity (If you are recording) Never use windows Control panel to edit audio input settings it always does weird stuff. TBH a tutorial on How to properly adjust those settings would been a good addition to the video.

Spoiler

Irrelevant to video Opinion: Youtubes one and only reason to hide dislikes is showing up here 90% of the dislikes is hate against LMG not the product i belive people watching this after 3years didn't know There is drama going on at that time they assume its a paid review or something half of the comments is also irrelevant making the media scene better you know.

Is audio quality of the said mic when its name was on the screen with mic icon? Because the audio profile was hardly any different than studio microphones they use for videos. It was maybe a bit harsher, but didn't feel muffled like the name brand mics. Which was surprising and I had to recheck it and I still don't seem to believe it.

Am I missing something? The video was great in my opinion. The duplicate reviews seem like an easy mistake. What's the hate about?

The audio was great at normal talking volume, but sounded awful when he talked loudly.

The video has only 500k views and it's bombing hard. The community is clearly displeased.

I have FIFINE microphone myself (K658), although the arm for it wasn't included, just a little tripod. Some reviews on youtube show it performs really well.
As for cheaper FIFINE products, I have heard that in most cases they would just copy the design/tech from somewhere else.
This is not the case for the microphone that I bought, as it turns out.
This microphone has an RGB button (although it only turns RGB on or off) and a mute button. Both of them are touch-sensitive.

It's pretty fascinating to see folks with backgrounds or experience with audio pointing out some of the issues with the video and testing, ya know, so soon.

Getting called out for publishing bad data and "fixing" it with on screen remarks.

This isn't an asterisk fix though. It's a normal contextual note...
