Noctua sell out

Col

Will people now move away from Noctua fans now they have sold out with the introduction of black boring fans ?

This move from Noctua could be a disaster in my opinion for the company , they were known for having the best fans and the colour said we are different from the rest and better .

Now it's cater for the masses that said they don't like the colour .

The cream and brown best fans ever could now become a whatever black fan with silly ring coloured inserts like corsair

i dont think they have sold out

Selling out is the compromising of integrity, morality, or principles in exchange for personal gain, such as money

if you are reading this you are wasting valuable time and should maybe rethink your life choices.

Why would it make a difference? People buy them because they are good fans, not because they are a strange shade of brown.

Its hardly selling out either. They are taking feedback from their customers. Its common sense.

I think anyone that dismisses performance numbers because of color isn't that smart to begin with.

This won't affect them, and them changing the color is not them selling out.

If anything I see this selling more fans for them. They'll likely keep the brown color on their other fans. Now the people who refused to buy their fans because of the color have an option.

Heaven forbid should a company change something!! Oh no!!

For me at least, if I was to buy a noctua fan, I would get the black ones. To me, they get a big thumbs up for listening to what the people want and delivering a product to fill that gap. They didn't sell out, they gave the people what they wanted. Robinson Cano is a sell out, going to a crappy team for a massive contract. Noctua didn't get a giant check from someone to make black fans. That would be selling out. They are trying to earn our money. Earn it.

Earn it.

First off, the beige ones are still their high end ones. The industrial black fans are for server environments and the grey ones are as their name suggest "cheaper" versions of the beige ones.

They're not switching the colors.

I think you're just being sentimental, I avoided Noctua fans because they were so butt-ugly. How can a company sell out? How can a maker of fans have artistic integrity to lose?

If anything, this will boost sales, because if you didn't research fans and you just wanted to grab some fans for a build, you wouldn't know that they perform well, you'd just know that Noctua fans are super ugly, and avoid them.

Their strategy of flamengoing and making an ugly product so that it would be recognized obviously didn't work, otherwise they wouldn't be moving to standard color schemes.

This is the dumbest thing I've read in days, seriously offering different colours is 'selling out'?

People will move toward Noctua because previously they didn't like the colour, and now a new colour is available...

Anyway the fundamental stupidity of your thoughts is that fans are made for PUSHING AIR, it doesn't matter what damn colour it is as to how well it can perform and how loud it is, how long it lasts ect.

omg I don't even, in fact I'm adding you to my ignore list right now in case you respond to me I can't deal with the response it'll break my brain.

"Omg dey nawt selin jus poop colerd fans nymor. they selouts becuz they jus in it for moni"

Noctua probably realized they can make more money from the people who cannot stand shit colored fans.

Guess what more money to Noctua means??

I'll give you a hint, it has nothing to do with selling out.

Did you even read the post or did you just see the photos and freaked out?

They're adding a budget line that's just basic OEM fans with no accessories/damping and a pure performance line that's going to run really loud (2000-3000 rpm). They'll still sell their normal brown/cream coloured fans as a good balance of quiet/performance for everyday enthusiasts.

brown/cream black and red quiet or not, long warranty, quality or not I'm still not paying $25 or so per fan when I have fans that came with my radiator that work fine at low voltages and are not so loud that I need to spend an extra $60 (after tax, shipping) to fix. Although I do applaude them for making these fans. I think they broke part of their marketing scheme to do this but I also think it boost sales.

Selling out by offering new colors.. That's pretty dumb to say.

I, like others, like to have aesthetically pleasing builds and fans stick out. When I look into the side panel, I don't want to see a complete clash of colors. I use noctua fans in builds I don't see. These fans are great and giving everyone what they want... That's a huge step in an amazing direction.

It's the same damn fan. You said they WERE known? They still are. The color of a fan doesn't change the performance. Do you even hear the words coming from your fingers? The color options still are different than other fans out there.

Jeesh. Please jump off the "lolololol fan boy bandwagon"

Well, Allot of people while thinking the color was unique, absolutely hated the color.  Lets face it, Noctua is mainly appealing to Enthusiasts.  90% of enthusiasts like black fans over not white, not blue, not red, not any common enthusiast color.  No, cream and brown?

I think this is a smart move.

Real enthusiasts dont care what color it is they get it based on performance and make it work with their build if it what they really want.
