I have a special offer: i can buy a corsair AX 1200i for 180$ - i have a be quiet dark pro 850watt and it is more than powerful enough for my system:

i7 4820k oc @ 4.3 ghz

Amd 290

11 x 120mm fans

fan-controller

usb-hub

1 x HDD

4  x SSD

D5 pump

 

So the corsair would be a massive overkill - but it would be a nice upgrade (semi-passive, fanless up to 30% usage, digital control).

 

Probably i will integrate a second VGA ... but then also the 850 watt psu would be sufficient.

 

What do you think - would you "upgrade" or not for that price?

I had a TX850M and bought an HX1050 because it was a good deal. I mean than you can use it for longer given that the power connectors don't change drastically in the next couple years.

i wouldnt, save the 180 bucks and get use it on that second 290

I would say go for it. You never know when you might need another PSU lying around and the AX 1200i is a great PSU :)

No, sell your 290, add that 180$, and get a Beast GTX 780Ti, BTW i don't think they sell 290s for 200$ lol

You're not going to like its fan profile really. Ramps up out of the nothing to its max speed and turns off r&r like 10 times within a minute when gaming >.>

For 180$ you're better off getting the evga supernova 1000 P2
