Is pc hardware expensive where you live?

Yarrrrrrr,

It be very very expensive, but that mainly be the cost of gettin' it delivered at sea anywhere on the world.

I usually wait till I reach a harbor, and then buy at local price. So it can depend on where I be.

Can't tell if trolling.

yes, very much

cheapest 780ti is 706€

my lovely 780 lightning would cost me 774€ here, "luckily" we're in EU so i can buy from Germany and not have to pay for anything extra and get stuff for half the price

lets see some more

4770k at 300€

4670k at 212€

all that with min wage coming at skyhigh 500€ \o/

edit

tho we did get 4790 and 4690 about 2 weeks before it was supposed to be released :D

I don't think it's expensive in most countries, everyone just compares with the US where it's very cheap (amazon, neweg...).

yes. Partly because of the price that would be spent getting the equipment over here in the first place, partly because of the oligopoly-that's-almost-a-monopoly on hardware sales.

Hei, Hatsune here and I wonder is pc hardware expensive where you live? Where I live for the moment (Sweden) most computer componets seem to skyrocket from the regular 1 dollar = 6.6 sek to 1 dollar = 9 sek which is insane...

So is it expensive where you live? And if so please post where you are from :3

I prefer that instead of looking at the profile info box thing. Thanks

Yeah, we're quite taxed here in Sweden, aren't we..

Well, I that used to make minimum wage personally think that hardware is expensive here in Chile.
look at the 780 ti at newegg it is 709 dollars, now look at pcfactory's price of 631.590 or 1115 dollars.

Having said that I don't know how prices compare to the rest of the region. I've never asked someone from Argentina.

I built this system for somebody on the forum a while ago:

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor  (£104.39 @ Aria PC)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler  (£65.46 @ Scan.co.uk)
Motherboard: Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard  (£93.73 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  (£60.21 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk  (£59.89 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£40.99 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card  (£199.99 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Titanium Grey) ATX Mid Tower Case  (£88.39 @ Aria PC)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  (£64.99 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £778.04 ( Equivalent to $1310.45)

In the US that would cost $1055.57, so i'd say it's Okay over here in England.

Prices are slightly above average here, Hardware in Germany is a tad bit cheaper.

yeah, true. but the weird thing is that the hardware in germany is mostly imported over the netherlands.

it's time for some jolly cooperation!

yes it is.

It's even cheaper to just order in the usa then get some 3rd party like johnny air or fedex or something to deliver it here (this includes the 12% vat + shipping fee + handling fee) than buying it here.

imo even the evga 780 here 756.36$ converted similar priced to 780 ti from lower brands here like palit or inno3d (lol the 780 ti windforce is even cheaper by 5 bucks).

pretty much everything has 1 year warranty.
