Let me tell you a wonderful story.

there are two fairly awesome products coming out soon.

Parvum Mini

SIV_comparison.jpg

600 watt Silverstone SFX PSU

3.jpg

why is this awesome? 2 reasons. The Parvum Mini is literally one of (if not) the smallest m-itx case to exist with premium features but there's a catch. It can house a 290mm graphics card. That means it can house a titanblack or a gtx 690 for crying out loud. But wait there's more; room is available for 2 2.5" drives (including laptop hdd's) a 120+80mm rad w.c. setup, and capable of containing a false floor for a very tidy w.c. setup or maybe some cable management. To get an idea of the height of this system, it is no taller than your average bottle of water, 10mm taller than 2 stacked coke cans, and shorter than 3 stacked coke cans. lengthwise it is shorter than a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard, it is slightly wider than a mechanical razer nostromo. JUST WOW!!!

P.s. It is also small enough to fit into a photography sized tote bag with a mech. keyboard and mouse so lan parties are more than feasible.

The 600 watt Silverstone SFX PSU is fully modular, can use custom sleeved cables, and has enough amperage on the 12V rail to pump enough juice for a complete rig with 2 laptop hdd's and a 690 + a 4770k. That means that all of those enormous ATX cases are redundant now if you can pay the price premium for the w.c. parts and a dual-gpu card.

Many cores

Much gaming

Very power

WOW

the case has already been tested by around 30 people. around 5 or so i think were running 680's or better. The heat was no issue in any of them, especially since the gpu has such open ventilation.

All that heat in such a small area... meh.

if you're doing a w.c. loop there's not much heat generated at all (especially if you route it so the loop is like: pump - cpu - 80mm rad - 120mm rad - pump)

Interesting. Very interesting. I'd love a small case like this. Though the Asrock M8 might make more sense as it's flatter.

I've been looking at small cases for next years build and this is definitely very near the top of the list.

No word on the 3.5" drive? I don't know if 2.5" drives come in 3tb sizes.

Exact same amount of heat is generated. It's just dissipated more efficiently. But I'm not sure 200mm is enough for something like a 690 and a 4770k. I'd presume they'll have to be thin rads.

Nope, both rads can be monster thick because they don't obstruct anything. You will however have to use lp memory. and I mentioned nothing about watercooling the gpu. That's just too much to hope for. However it's fairly isolated from the rest of the heat generated because of the ventilation for it. If you're interested i can provide more pictures.

I already spoke with parvum. I'm going to get a limegreen/pink accent inverted (for them) parvum mini with window etching and maybe having the parvum name switched out with my moniker

Nice ;3

But so.. you recommend watercooling, then? I'm not sure I have the knowledge to build a custom WC-loop, nor the budget to get the required parts.

You don't have to if you don't want to. I'm just pointing out the fact that it's a beautiful case that is actually capable of a legitimate custom loop. However custom loops actually aren't that hard to do if you're not using acrylic tubing.

ITX here I come B)

for real. the next best thing is either a 450watt gold rated or a 600 watt 80+ certified.
