how can activate quad channel?

cheers to all,
i bought i7 7820x+mb Asus Strix x299 E Gaming+4 modules of RAM( 2 x8 Corsair running at 2400 speed +2x4 Kingston running at 2666 speed),but in CPU-z it say it works only in dual chanel not in quad mode.Why?And what can i do to made them work in quad channel?

I believe 8 DIMMs are necessary, 4 sets of 2 DPC.

It doesn't, though it will max out at 4GB per channel running in quad channel.

Only needs 4, 1 DIMM per channel.

 

@Hunter-Could you post a picture of your RAM to see which slots they're in? They should be in slots 1, 3, 6 and 8.

That doesn't look good. It is recommended to use the same RAM. Same manufacturer, same exact model. It is preferable to buy a kit of four sticks so they will match 100%. Also, before you buy you need to check your MoBo QVL to see the RAM you want listed there. Exact model, I emphasize on that. Otherwise, you might get issues with RAM when turning on XMP.

 

When you have different sticks installed you might experience performance issues.

quad channel only works with AMD Threadripper CPU's and EPYC CPU's support it...

Dont forget to mark as solution if your question is answered

Note: My advice is amateur help/beginner troubleshooting, someone else can probably troubleshoot way better than me.

Erm, no? Intel has had consumer grade quad channel since the Sandy Bridge days. That was way earlier than AMD.
