Error -200 : Cannot change my profile banner to a new gif (already had one before)

Natsukashii

Browser, version and OS:

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Was trying to change my banner to a new one. Already had a gif, trying to change for another one.

Attached is the gif I want to use.

What happened?

The uploading starts, the loading bar ends but it stays frozen after the loading bar disappears. Then I get the error -200 as the screenshot I provide below shows.

What did you expect to happen?

Well it should have shown a thumbnail of my banner so I can click save then reposition it.

Screenshots of the issue, if applicable:

Any other relevant details:

Gif is at 10mb, half of the max size of 20mb. Gif is 4 sec long at 33fps

New Error:

OK was trying to add the gif to this post and well... not working either, but different error

Your gif is too large or complex (even if it technically fits the size constraints), so the server isn't able to process it. A lower frame rate or resolution will help.

Kinda finicky process, got it fixed by lowering the frame count from 120 frames to 90. But now it stutters in the forum while playing fine on imgur, same exact file but first one is uploaded to the forum

You can use APNG. GIF is an awful format especially at this resolution.

tried to convert it to apng but doesn't seems to animate on the forum post, but clicking on it shows it animated

Same for imgur for the matter, it doesn't animate but if I load up the file in google chrome it animates

Guess I will continue to tinker to find a good way to make it work as a gif

stuff~

Yeah I can see that happening too. Guess its a bit too much lol. Plus the detail in the background is really making it hard to optimize down to a better size. Did you design this? Maybe making the main loop smaller or background scroll faster can lower the amount of frames.

Didn't design it, it's from steam profile, was a video file that I converted to gif and the website ezgif makes it easy to edit and optimize.
Was able to get it working with few optimisation and frame adjustement
