Can i put more ram in my MacPro4,1 since it runs 5,1 firmware?

Hello

Recently i upgraded my firmware from 4,1 to 5,1 to try to put a 3060 in it, it did not work so now im with a mac on firmware 5,1 so i should be able to put more then 32GB of ram in it?

I don't see why not...I have a stock Mac Pro 4,1 with 64gig in it.

RAM limit usually depends on the CPU and motherboard. Check what the limit is for the models you have. Do you have a use case that would benefit from more than 32 GB on such old hardware?

A stock 4,1 with a single processor should be able to take 48 gigs. Both the 4,1 and 5,1 will take up to 128 gigs.

odd my macpro4,1 with 2 X5550 only took 32gb max or it wouldent boot

theres a reason why i want more lol. i play modded minecraft and i regularly use over 31gb of ram.

so i should be able to just put more ram in it since i use windows? the only time where i tested that was wenn i installed it. backthen i was still using mac os.
