Silent-est 120mm Fans

So I saw some post on here a few weeks with kinda greyish fans and someone said they were extremely quiet and good for rads.

Corsair and cougar vortex fans are alright.

 

To be honest, just about anything that will undervolt gracefully will be pretty quiet. My 4000 rpm delta FB1212EHE is actually pretty quiet when I have it at the lowest setting on my fan controller.

Q: Do i want the 800RPM or the 1300RPM ones if i were to get?

 

Would the 800 work fine if i put them in push/pull on a dense rad?

NB e-loops are great fans

you can check their spec sheet here http://www.blacknoise.com/downloads/datasheets/8/TData_eloop120_122012_de.pdf

and see what DB noise level you want to tolerate

best way is to compare it to some fans you currently have

 

800 will be fine, you just wont get as good temps as 1300rpm

I would recommend getting 1300rpm and using a fan controller/utility to turn the rpm down to a noise level you like, and have it ramp up when needed

1300.  Unless you're getting a LOT of rad space, 800 might not be enough, you can always run the 1300's at 800 anyways

They'll be a little bit louder, if you're doing a custom loop the loudest thing will still be the HDD if you have one most likely.

 

 

You can use these tests as a "general comparison" but also check other places so you have more than one source to verify things:

Corsair fans don't even come close to things like Eloops, corsair fans are medium range. Just get the Eloops and be done with it they are some of the best fans money can buy and are silent.
