I have always loved the Elder Scrolls series since I first played Morrowind. I have played all the games including Arena and Daggerfall and am very disappointed with TES Online. When Bethesda gets around to publishing Elder Scrolls 6 I was wondering what the fan base would be looking for. Personally I would like another game to take place in Morrowind even though it will never happen but I can dream cant I :)

As long as it follows the lore, I'm good. Be cool to have a world that covered the whole of all th different countries though that was sp

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

@Davsmith4

Since Elder scrolls online is out. I doubt they're gonna do anything with the franchise for a good long while.

Added quest diversity.

The Skyrim quests got pretty same-y after a while, go to x, kill some draugr and then go back.

I love the current lore that the game has, and all the rest, it was just that.

I'd be fine with less quests if the ones that where there were more diverse.

And yeah, I don't expect it to be out any time soon. I would expect a Fallout game first, been dying to play another Fallout game. Currently playing through Tale Of Two Wastelands mod.

Imagine if TESO covered all the different areas, with more effort in the  environment and more thought out/surprising fights... would you even need a new Elder Scrolls game!?!? Oh well I can't change what's already out :c

Soo many games, not enough money to get any.

Rofl! I hear ya, I tried the beta and tbh it was meh. All the past MMOs from 2 years have been so fail. Really sad... I need a new awesome MMO to save me from real life.

ESO doesn't have anything to do with Bethesda other than the license. Zenimax (Bethesda's parent company) are developing ESO. Single player RPG's are Bethesda's forte. If they keep going as they have done previously then we'll probably see a fallout 4 with the same creation engine as skyrim but upgraded a bit, then the next TES game.

Ah fair enough. They probably got some man power to oversee the project and ensure that the game goes as they want it to. At least for the short foreseeable future, I see no elder scrolls content/game coming out (except ESO stuff)

Well, Vvardenfell was destroyed by Red Mountain before Skyrim takes place. But in the Dragonborn expansion, there is some mention of the Telvanni attempting to terraform the island and make it habitable again. So they could very well skip ahead a couple hundred years (like they did with Skyrim), to when that job is complete.

However, I doubt they're going to do this. The Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim is probably the only Morrowind fan-service we're going to get for a long time.

I'm okay with this though. There are plenty of other places we could visit. High Rock, Valenwood, Black Marsh, Elsweyr, etc... and all of them have the potential to be full of really unique and weird places. To be honest, I'm getting a little tired of the typical "castle" style cities of Skyrim and Oblivion. One of my favorite aspects of Morrowind was how odd most of the cities were. Between the Telvanni living in giant mushroom houses to the giant bug carcasses used as shelter by the tribes in the ashlands... there were a lot of unique things to see and explore. Human castles are getting old fast.

Unfortunately, I'm guessing TES 6 will take place in High Rock. It's the home of the Bretons... and humans are easy, apparently.

I hope TES 6 won't be shit like Skyrim was. I was expecting a good looking game but got low resolution console crap with that terrible UI and hidden hotkey functionality that people found by accident but is still broken anyway.

Perhaps you have herd of this thing called modding. I've heard it's quite popular and has the ability to fix all the problems you have just mentioned.

Oh I know about the mods, but what happened to devs that actually put effort in making their game instead of relying on the user base who don't get paid for fixing their game? Why not put out a amazing game and have modders build on that to make it even better?

At least Valve does it right and the creators get paid for what they do.

I really like Skyrim. I keep going back to it (one of these days I'll finish it!). The feature I'm interested in is a limited multiplayer capability, like up to 4 players (borderlands 2 style maybe?). Something that's optional though, so you could play it like a true ES game solo, or choose to jump together now and then.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!

You do realize that Bethesda's games are developed by a group of roughly 100 people, right?

And I'm not talking about testers and marketers and producers, etc. I'm talking about people who are strictly sitting there working on the games. Artists, animators, level designers, department directors...

Compare that to another company. Such as Blizzard... who have over 300 developers on average, per game (far more with WoW). And it still takes them 10 years to release a new title, not counting expansions.

Most AAA developers have 200 or more developers. Plus, most developers don't create their own game engines. ALSO, most developers don't create worlds as large, or filled with as many things as your average Bethesda game.

Some may call me a fanboy, but give Bethesda a break. They make huge games and you complain because 30 or fewer artists don't create Crytek-level graphics for them...

EDIT: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Credits#Development

Everyone under the "Development" section worked on creating all of the assets, modifying/creating the engine, programming, etc. Of them, only around 21 of them are actual artists.

21 people... creating all of the models, textures, effects, everything in the game (23 if you count concept artists). A game with so many diverse areas, characters, unique items, clutter items, unique locations, creatures, animals, flora... the list goes on. Yet, some people still complain because it looks like "some low resolution console crap".

What does numbers have to do with it? Dota 2 only has ~30 people working on it and Riot has 1000 and they are both great games although LoL isn't exactly up-to-date with graphics and I don't think they intend to update it any time soon.. It was the first modern engine Bethseda made from scratch so I guess I can't be too harsh on them for created something so outdated even for 2011 standards.
