The Notebook isn't a good product

Sepster

It's a generic looking notebook with an LTT logo on it.

If it was meant to be as a novelty item, then it's a terrible one because there is nothing special about it. It's not some crazy leather, its not made out of brass, it doesn't have gold leaf pages or whatever.

If it was meant to be used by students to take enotes, then any notebook that doesn't have a spiral is not good for note taking by students.

If it was meant as a decorative item, again it's not good because it's cheap generic leather and it's black. Not even fun colors.

I don't want this to come off as me hating the merch. I have a LTT desk at and I love it. I think it's the best desk mat at ever. Same with other LTT products. This one just doesn't seem like it fits the quality products we know and love from LTT.

I do hope they come out with a better notebook in the future that is either good as a novelty item or for students to take notes in.

Just because it's not for you, doesn't make it a bad product.

There are tons of people that use notebooks like these. I use notebooks, however I prefer to just get the $1 ones from the dollar store since they're not notes I'd keep. This is not the same for everyone. Some people like to keep journals, in which case these make perfect sense.

There are probably more people that would want something not made of real leather, than those that would want real leather. Especially in the LTT audience.

I'm going to wait till they post the clip to really talk more about it but, I am probably going to compare the discussion a bit to that of the Cortex Theme Journal and the Subtle Notebook that CGP Grey is involved with, since I imagine they are both similarly sized notebooks that would likely be similarly priced.

Though a big thing about the Theme Journal was that it was the initial notebook that they sold and part of it was that it was set up to encourage journaling in certain ways that they found helped them be productive. With the subtle Notebook being sold as an alternative for more open ended note-taking.

It's not for you bud.  There are a lot of people out in the world that are neither students nor novelty notebook collectors that this would be great for.
