Mirror side panels

Planning to build my next PC in the Corsair 570X mirror. I just adore that case and everything about it. My only worry is that I will build my PC 6 months from now and as the case is old, Corsair might pull it from production before I can grab it.

In case that does happen, I like a few other cases like the Fractal Design Torrent but they don't come with a mirrored panel. I'd want to mod the panel into a mirror then.

 

Anyone know how it's done? What the process is and is the headache worth it? Might be forced to take the risk and buy a used 570X >:/

I guess, is there anything stopping you from buying the case today? There's basically zero chance it will be obsolete in six months, and it can sit in the box in a corner in the meantime.

It's less of a "Corsair will think this is obsolete" and more "Corsair thinks this case is an old SKU and needs to have an EOL" (which is fair, because that case frame came out in like 2016/7 and has iteration updates over a few years before the release of the 4000D (2020/2021?)and it's size/panel derivatives)

If I understand the question you want to make a tempered glass into a mirror. If that's what you want, just buy mirrored window tinting film. Should be available on amazon, walmart, etc.

As an extension to this, you can also get mirrored lexan, which would be fairly trivial to cut and replace the glass.

I have to save up £3000 for car repairs right now. Getting it repaired around august/september so until then nope. I've already set a price alert on PCPartPicker if the case goes on sale after September.

Exactly. Super easy to apply on a glass panel with no curves to it like a case window. This one for $10 from amazon will get you enough for a case and a bunch of do-overs if you screw it up:
