Good for you. You should always try to be a well-balanced person.

I don't know how old you are, but definitely keep up with exercise while you're still young and mobile. Cheers.

I'm 48. Regret not riding my bike more often. Now trying to get back in shape so I can. Should have gotten a 24" instead of 26".

Thanks. After I got my Disability I built a rather nice Rig. Given it's age(2013),  Perhaps I shouldn't leave it on all the time. Make the Rig last longer.

Keeping in mind your budget is probably going to be somewhat tight, how's the used market where you are? @dizmowas able to profit $315 CAD off their last build and might give you some ideas for building on a budget.

It'll take a bit more work than just buying new parts, but it's doable and with prices dropping quickly it's getting easier and easier every day.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Well I have to save some money first. Nowhere what I paid for my Rig. Earlier this I finally replaced the Lite-on with an Asus DVD-R. Should have done that when it went died. I have lots of DVDs. Chances are I still go with SATA SSDs due to price and easier to keep cool. Now the M.2 SSDs, specially the PCIe x4 in desktops tend to overheat.

Smaller wheels isn't how you'd get the correct size of bike, assuming that's your problem. You just need a different sized frame. If anything, you should be aiming for 27.5" or 29" wheels.

I got most of my stuff from eBay, so as long as he lives in North America he's good to go 😉

SATA SSDs are not really any cheaper (and often actually more expensive) than NVME SSDs, and honestly they don't overheat at all. Perhaps the very high performance ones do when put into stressful benchmarks, but I've never had mine get remotely hot, and one is on the backside of an M-ITX motherboard.

Thanks. I to read this about three times so I'm clear about what you posted. Is SeaSonic is still good to get? I have a 550w Gold 80%+ made by that company. I needed I can post the Model.

Seasonic still has some of the best PSUs. I would recommend getting their platinium line (PX series focus or prime series). You pay a bit more but they come with a 10 year warranty and are solidly built. 2 things I never skimp on: Power supplies and motherboards. Buy once cry once. Especially on a quality power supply.

Be sure to @Pickles von Brine if you want me to see your reply!

Most seem to think SeaSonic is good. Corsair has had some quality issues lately

Ifaik some (or most) Corsair PSUs are made by (or rebranded) SeaSonic.

Wow, that's interesting.

Currently now or back when? Do you know which models? Doubtful that the Bronze 80%+ are, partially the low wattage range.

Can’t say. It was stated in random articles online and on this forum numerous times.

Corsair don’t make PSUs. They also not necessarily just get rebranded ones, but the ones made with Corsair’s specs.

You are a youngster and it sounds as if you need to learn how to ride a bike efficiently. At your age I was doing about 200 km a week and had managed 13,500 km one year which included 3,500 km up the west coast of USA.

The 24", are you referring to frame size? Standing over the frame you should have at least a hand's span between the top bar and your underside (between your legs).

Your computer, I don't see anywhere mentioned what you actually want to do with it.

It tends to sound as if the best is to get rid of Windows and use what you have.

24" frame. My first I purchased at 30. My mother get me a bike at 9 bike but wrong size for my age.

My computer I use for Games, Videos, and everything else. Use mostly Manjaro Linux, then Windows for some Applications.

Between Steam, SteamPlay, Lutris, Wine, and DOSBox I have plenty of games for the most part. But...

Don't want to get into something more advanced then that.

Depends, are you genuinely curious or just trying to be anal about it?

If the former, then - replies here and there, like TomsHardware. Aforementioned videos - it might be in any random video ranging from an obscure review to any WanShow. Out of curiosity, I actually asked Corsair, but never heard back from them.

Let's try another way... @LinusTech, do you know if SeaSonic ever manufactured PSUs for Corsair?

yes. The HX620 and HX520 -  Corsair's first power supplies - were manufactured by Seasonic, and basically identical to the original S12.

I don't think either company ever acknowledged this publicly, but it was an open secret. Here's a review from SPCR that highlighted the similaritie: https://silentpcreview.com/corsair-hx520w-hx620w-modular-power-supplies/

Corsair kept sourcing from Seasonic for several years at least after the HX620 and 520, but I don't think they do anymore.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
