it's difficult to say...

it's like it's a finely balanced build of outdated and suboptimal parts.

here's the thing... when you use this pc for whatever you use it, which part is maxed out?

that's the part you should upgrade next.

Your system is definitely seeing a CPU botleneck. I would bet that while you're playing games your CPU is near 100% yes?

Definitely replace the CPU if you can. But also hear me out with this:

Maybe look into speccing out a brand new build that with DDR4 RAM and a Ryzen CPU. You're not going to be able to upgrade this system much longer and still get decent performance out of it. The hardware is simply too old.

Yeah, you'd have to replace the whole thing.

Any powerful video card will be held back by the CPU and any cpu upgrade would provide too little performance increase to be worth it.

The SSD *may* be reusable, but honestly as you upgrade to Windows 10 you're gonna want at least a 500 GB nvme SSD to get the most.

I have a system with a FX 8320E + HD 6970 and in a lot of modern games the bottleneck is the CPU.

But the 1GB of VRAM of the 260X is very problematic, and not to mention that the performance of the 260X is even worse than my HD 6970.

So both of them should be upgraded.

I had say that your GPU is as bad as your CPU.

If you will buy a new CPU without upgrading the GPU you still won't be able to play much modern games.

And if you will buy a new GPU without upgrading the CPU it will be the same story.

Not really, that gpu can barely play modern games. You need at least 2GB.

You need to replace all, the only thing that can be transfered to new system only your ssd.

well, he asked which part he should upgrade first, it's gonna be a crapshoot either way, but you have to start somewhere i guess.

This thing is probably easier (more like less difficult for how outdated it is) to sell as a whole unit, if you're thinking to improve it over time might as well don't.

Needs a scrapyard wars style rebuild. Pricing is starting to come down on cpu+motherboard combos in the used market, as Intel has finally released some competitive products and people are starting to sell their 4670K's with board for under 100$. Not that I suggest that specific upgrade path, but it's not a horrible option either if the right deal comes along, maybe some ram included. Then you can flip it all again without losing much money in a year.

Give it an RX 470, GTX 970 or even GTX 1060. It'll be like day and night difference. FX 6300 is old and crap, but it'll still make a huge difference.

Ive been a user of AMD for a long time and It's not that I think that AMD is better (even though it is) its like I have a bond to it for some reason and can't buy intel for some odd reason even tho its just a cpu.

The RX 550 is worse than the R7 260X you have...

At least get yourself a HD 7970 or better,

You will have no issues finding one of those for 100€:

All of it.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

The SSD and HDD may still be good, although they are a bit small. Use CrystalDiskInfo to check your drives' health statuses. If they report as "Good", they'll likely serve for a good few years. If the HDD reports as "Caution" or if the SSD reports a low health percentage, replace the drive immediately to avoid data loss.

it says good, but i think i accidentaly donwloaded the anime version of this program xDDD but whatever i dont mind it

I've actually never seen what the Shizuku and Kurei Kei editions of CrystalDiskInfo before, so seeing your screenshot for the first time was a bit of a shock lol. Though, they should be functionally identical to the Standard version, so no worries there.

Your drives look to be in excellent condition. In particular, that Toshiba HDD was actually designed by HGST, one of the best drive makers out there. Both storage devices should be good for a long while!

Yeah, about the toshiba drive I actually did not have the cash for a big SSD so I researched to find a good HDD, if its a hard drive at least that it was good so I found out that this toshiba was great. And ty for your help man
